Folks, one of the rules on BladeForums is no deal spotting. I think we are crossing the line when we post links to other forums. Good intentions but not allowed.

I agree about the last post to an outside website. What about links to stuff in the Bladeforums knife exchange? I thought as long as it was not the seller themselves posting a link to their own ad?

I think that would be ok as would links to BladeForum dealers.
 
Steel Armorer's Tool Kits, as well as some of the Titanium bead offerings will be back on the site before the end of the day.
 
This thread has 1 purpose, and that is to notify you when we have things available on our website. Use the exchange for everything else.

I have refrained from closing this thread before because it serves as good info, if it turns into a flea market, closed.....

But, here's the deal. Since many don't fully understand the forum rules, if this thread gets a lock--you won't hear any bellyaching from me.

New threads can be easily created when "new" items are offered or hit the store. The threads would run a natural course--would be topical, then fall as interest fades.
 
Being as I was the Op (read as: Doofis) that started this thread (before Mod days) I will comment on what my goal was.
Communication.
Yep, that was it. Just communication. Like me Mum taught me as a little buoy - Communicate and all will be well.
I figured it would be two way (2 way)
The Hinderer Herd could "Alert" us to what was a comin' as well as what was a here.
Likewise, when we posted lots of "I wants" and "I wishes" they would see trends and plan accordingly.
Apparently (possibly) the goal and intent "Drifted" from its original purpose.
Remember, "We" are a small group, not talking Mass production/Mass consumer/Mass marketing kind of stuff.
Family kinda thing, "Hey, I need the bathroom", "You'll hafta wait!" kinda thing........know what I mean?:o
So, hopefully it has/will serve a purpose and not cause angst. I don't like angst, it leads to agita and coronary by-pass
surgery and an agonizing death and that wasn't my intent.
I just wanted two (2) guys who wished they had ano stand-offs to be able to say, "Hey, I wish I had......"
and
a little while later they would see........ "Hey, we have some ano stand-offs on the site, Go Git em,"

That was it.:o
 
Rubi, I've started a couple threads with the proper intent that slid into a lock...it bothers me not. We try for the good, but sometimes things slip away...kinda like a great idea with good intention that turns into an obligation.

If all continue to play nice, this thread should survive. But it has been hit with warnings of a possible lock more than a couple times already.
 
Sometimes I forget the "Forum World" is a fluid medium. The RHK forum Veterans probably remember the context and original intent but, then time passes on and focus "clarity" is lost.
No Biggie. As my Sgt.Major used to say to me as a young Army Captain, " Calm down Sir, Nobody is shooting at us".
No truer words spoken.
Think about Life........ "Nobody is shooting at us". That is a "Teachable Moment" some never will know, some all to well.
Anyway,........ Hope Everyone had a Great Safe and Happy Holiday and will have an equally agreeable New Year.
For the rest of us, Gods speed. :)

I'm not going to act like I do not understand the truth of those words.

But I would add, that it does not take being shot at to impact the calm. Ever had a MVA that was caused by another driver's mistake(s) or avoided such a situation? It's not the bullets, it's the azzhats behind them.
 
I will say ths about being shot at...... constipation was never a problem.

I had something better to say but I don't remember what it was now.
