Heartfelt Thanks / Contest / Entry Fee

I am glad to hear your wife is doing well. May God continue to bless you and your wife. I am also glad to hear such a great story . . . thanks for sharing

Sometimes we never know how blessed we are until someone close to us is (almost) taken away. Your words reflect deep humility and soul-felt thankfulness in every sentence, and I thank you for sharing your story with us. Mr JforBush's act of kindness has moved the hearts of a lot of people around here this season, I think.

Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family.

darn speck in my eye....

Stories like this are what really makes Christmas shine. I'm glad your wife is doing better!

WOW. I'm more than happy that your family trait is to "ramble" That was one of the best rambles writen in my lifetime. I'm a ramblin guy, but at this time, I am just taking in the story. No contest for me... (just puttin in my thoughts and *just1more* closer to 300.) A kind thought or action of one, can change a life forever. Hey J4B good on ya. And Just1mor.. You and the Brave lil Lady have Just1 after the other great days til you are both 100+ years old. The big "C" can also mean Century. May you both have fun that long. Enjoy and Thank YOU for the "ramble" edgy

A PS for later when she reads this. MERRY CHRISTMAS Mrs. Just1Mor and family :D:D:D

Wow................ this is a great thread & story.

Continued best wishes for you and Sally.

A big hats off to Mr. JFORBUSH also.

Merry Christmas !!!!!

Yes, cancer is a horrible disease, we all know someone who has had it but to hit so close to home is truly something else. Thanks JUST1MORE and I wish you and your wife a speedy recovery!

also, Jfor Bush, great karma, it'll come back to ya

Just1More, congrats on the victory. It's wonderful to hear. A story of victory over that damned cancer is reward enough, you needn't give away a thing. My wife lost her mother to cancer last month. It's relentless. That makes your victory that much sweeter. Also, thanks for letting us know about the outstanding character and business JforBush has. There are some great folks on these forums. I'll support a good business run by good people all day long. Thanks again for sharing and go give your wife a big hug from my wife and I. Take care and God bless.

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Congrats on the good news. I lost my mother in 97' due to brain cancer. I also lost my father to cancer when I was 14. There has always been some family on my side or my wifes side that that has died from cancer or one form or another. Needless to say, cancer is a pre
dominant factor in our family.

Cancer is down right terrible (perhaps one of the few things that truely scare me... that and spiders *ick*). I am so happy to hear she made it through the ordeal and I have to second the comment of taking a picture of her face on Christmas during the big reveal! :)

Folks, I want to thank all of you for your comments, well wishes, thoughts, & prayers. I know when Sally starts reading these posts Christmas day, the sheer magnitude of these posts will be overwhelming. And as for the suggestions of not needing a contest to celebrate this, no thanks. My feelings are since I could not get Mr. Forbush to take any type of payment for his work, this is my own way of thanking him for what he did. Besides people, IT'S CHRISTMAS !!! :D
This is how the spirit of the holiday was meant to be . . .
Be safe.

Thats a very touching story, Im glad your wife is doing better. Merry Christmas to you both.

ktomes, thanks. Everyone in your family should be aware of how deadly this disease is & how quickly it can start. The thing with Sally was her mammogram & the rest of her tests were all negative in December. If she had not done the self exam each month, it would have had a year's head start on her instead of just 3 months. That's the scary part, the tests came up negative. Good luck to you and your family in the future. Merry Christmas.
Be safe.

This is an Entrek Lynx. It is a very stout neck knife!

I wanted to give these to my 2 daughters because of the courage of the woman I got them from.

I will try to post pics of the second knife soon.

Thanks JUST1MOR and Sally!:D

What a GREAT story!!! You know as much as we all give each other a lot of crap in here it's all in good fun and this place is like one big family. I'm so happy to hear that your wife is doing great!!! I've lost 3 of my grandparents to cancer so I know just how devistating it's effects can be. Your story is has to truly be one of the brightest examples of just what Christmas is all about!
