I have an 1111 with a penetrator tip. Don't ask me why it's there; it came that way from a Ganzaa. It definitely makes a beast of this size far stabbier. I can dig it.

Edit for relevance: Similar blade shape and such.

What do you think the weight will be on these? the Regulator at .33 is about 16 oz I think the War Feather could be about 17-18 oz
 
The Regulator tang is full thickness with a bigger handle, so with the saber grind vs FFG might not be that different weight-wise.

Master Smiths like Bill Bagwell and more recently Jason Knight have been making fighting Bowies with blades this thick (and thicker) for years. The weight gives impact for slashing strokes—those knives will take off your arm. To gain quickness and penetration, they use extreme distal taper to a needle point, which yields a blade that hits like a freight train but dances like a Ferrari. The downfall of that design for uses other than fighting is that the tip loses lateral strength, so you end up with a weak link in the chain. By using a long clip on the War Feather instead of extreme distal taper, Jerry reduces forward weight to control rotational momentum for handling and achieves a narrow point for penetration, but maintains thickness near the point for strength.

Is this the thickest Busse has gone??....Is there anything to compare it too. It's definitely a lifer. You can keep sending this one out for about 5 different custom regrinds
 
Totally breathless; Great job Jerry! I have the Oakley Kitchensink backpack, now I might have to get the matching HOG8!
