Frank, I think your folder looks great. What about the "Marduk" folder? Named after the Sumerian deity of sun and water, referring to your two-colored design.

Sorry, advertising is not allowed here.

I like the folder, the grinds are not my style, but a very nice knife especially for a first effort. Who does your heat treat, and what is the hardness?

You need a knife maker membership to sell your blades here. Click on the upgrade your forums experience link at the top of the page. You can become a Knife Maker Member for $40/yr and it gets you the ability to sell your knives in the Makers For Sale Area http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=789

BTW, I really like your knife. It reminds me of a Buck Strider 881SP. Very beefy. I approve :D

Beautiful knife!

One heck of a nice first effort

Keep up the great work and let us know when you start marketing.

Kevin

Any full thickness Ti framelock tantos in the works?

I like it. The Frank Fischer Journeymen's Folder. However, I also like the name "Jaw dropper," as that is what happened to me when I saw your knife!

Regards,
3G

Haha, thats a good name for the next one.

We dont have a rockwell hardness tester in shop but we estimate 58-59, and we do heat treating in house

Sorry not yet, but I have plans too soon!!! I do have a tanto almost ready on that design which is wicked looking. watch for new pics hopefully by midweek.

What type of grinds do you favor if you dont mind me asking? I want to try to appeal to as big of an audience I can, so all input is definitely appreciated

Thin is good, no matter how you get there. Personally I prefer convex or flat.

Awesome looking piece, though.

I like high grinds, and dislike hollow grinds. Full flat is my favorite, or high saber and flat. (And full convex, but not so much on a folder.) With a thin edge angle less than 30 degrees included. Of course many people like the hollow grinds, just my personal preference. Nice clean work in any case.

Thanks for the feedback. I will have to try a full flat someday, I also like that look a lot. I did design this one for the bush and it wacks through limbs with ease! Still sharp, definetely tool quality, especially with the s60v (which they don't make anymore... know where i can get some?)

Frank, I notice you haven't responded to the warnings.
Just a friendly reminder, guys do get nixed around here fairly quickly for overstepping the rules.

Friendly advice? Pony up for the Knifemaker membership (and remember to change your "group" settings in the user CP after paying.
Your stuff looks real nice, and you could probably move them very well here, and I'd hate to see someone with talent get the kibosh over something simple.

I do like those grinds you have there, and the "pumpkin" look is popular here.
I'm more of a black 'n' blue kind of guy (hint, hint). 3/16" thickness, eh? That thing's a bruiser. How hard is it to open with the thumbstud?

I might have found a replacement for my Ka-Bar Mule.

No kidding. BF houses many knife enthusiasts that are happy to support a knifemaker. Of course getting a great piece of cutlery in return has a little to do with it too. :D

For the cost of the membership to be a knife maker you could make up that $40 by selling your knife. I'm sure you could make a $40 profit even after the expenses, maybe you could get a bidding war going on.
The last thing you want is to be banned because you won't pay for a knifemakers membership.

I really like this site and have attempted to purchase the knifemakers membership. How will i know when it has been processed or is it an instant approval thing? I'm waiting to here back from the administrators.
