Dang it, I was going to answer the how to move the anvil question. My version was. "Point with index finger to where you want it. Mention same to hubby at least thrice ah hour until it gets there because he is tired of hearing it."![]()
It goes on your forearms. Hands grasped together. One inner elbow on the horn. One inner elbow on the table overhang. Bend your knees to lower your body, wrap your arms around the anvil, grasp your hands together, and come straight up. Of course, buddies and wheel barrows can be of assistance......There were Acme anvils made in Trenton and so marked. If you had the bucks, I'd have someone sand blast the sides, table and horn for you, leaving the bed or face untouched, and paint that thing. Measure your hardy hole for me.
You could get one of each size and line them all up and play them like Neil Pert or Keith Moon. Dont know if anyone has ever done that? Dont know how you would tune them tho?I am incompetent with all things mechanical and would probably only hurt myself, but I too have wanted an anvil for a long time, with no real skills to speak of, it is still very awesome.
