Well, so far, this name makes me smile the most and I have such fun saying,

Candygram for MONGO!!!

"Me Mongo. Mongo LIKES candy."

Yep, as of right now, Mongo has the lead. "Candygram for Mongo!" A BIG name in a little package. 13 pounds, 10.5 inches at the shoulder.

Mongo won't be a stretch for Tango to respond to. And there are sooooo many ways to say MONGO!!!

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions for my new little guy.

MILKBONE GRAM FOR MONGO-MILKBONE GRAM FOR MONGO

MONGO J GERBIL-GET OUT OF THAT -lol

MILKBONE GRAM FOR MONGO-MILKBONE GRAM FOR MONGO!!!! I love it!

And it would have to be:

MONGO VAMPIRE GERBIL - GET OUT OF THAT.

Moms don't use initials. They use the full middle name!

Seriously, anything is better than Tango!

Can't go wrong with Buddy or Bear.

A friend of mine has an Australian Shepherd named Tango and he is a really cool dog. Tango works! I have an Aussie that I call Buddy-Bear and that works, too.

How about calling him Frodo? I always liked the names that Tolkein used in his books.

I'd still lobby for Zwart, Nero, or Preto.

But how about Vigi (pronounced like Fiji.)

In honor of our undead rodent friend?

I have owned several Lhaso's and my favorite I named FANG and it was always fun when he went off at the doorbell to say down Fang and then have folks see what we called FANG. He was also the smartest dog I ever owned. Enjoy.. Larry

Mongo's not working for me today. It just doesn't feel right any more. Don't know why.

I'm now leaning towards Plissken. As in Snake Plissken. Mongo Snake Plissken.

I get my puppy tomorrow afternoon, so I am going to have to wait to see how I feel about names after I meet him and spend some time with him. Dang. I thought I had it all wrapped up with Mongo. I was looking forward to those free Vet visits, too!

How about an ironic name for such a little cute dog...Say Manson, Bruiser, Killer, Brontus, Dahmer, Bro, Brutus, ..........wait...I got it..."DOOBIE".

shadow?

sophie II?

sophie squared?

I did consider Shadow - many, many times. My first Lhasa Apso, almost identical coloring as this puppy, was named Shadow. And my next male Lhasa was also Shadow (no, not at the same time!). Sophie and Shadow sound great together.

And I can't call him Sophie. He's a boy, silly.

I do like Marky. I had a great cat I named Markie, after my cousin Mark that I got her from. Coyote dinner 8-1/2 years later.

Now why does the name Mark ring a bell? Hm-m-m-m-m.

Yes, Rosconey, I keep changing my mind. Help!

Some great names have been suggested. I'm such a wooooosh.
