Well, I have been back on the forum for a little over a month now and thought it was time to give back to the porch. You guys haven't changed. You all are still enablers, creators of knife envy, and quick to make me rethink what I have.:D

All kidding aside, you all are still the best folks on the forum and treat each other with kindness and respect. You all are patient with newbies like myself and I think about you guys when I'm off the forum, even though I have never had the privilege to meet anyone, yet.

So here is what we are going to do. I just sold my Northwoods Broadway and have some pocket money. I need to buy a knife to replace it and I need your help in doing this. I would prefer it be something I don't already have, but more importantly something you yourself may want. Why, because I am going to buy two! One for you and one for me. That way it is a mystery for myself and you get something you want.

Let's make this a $145 budget shipped for each knife! I may need winners help shipping overseas depending on cost.

Fate falls to a random generator :)

Here are the rules: PLEASE READ THE RULES.

- It must be a traditional under $145 shipped - Folder or Fixed
- You must have joined the forum before 2015
- Be an active member in the traditional subforum. Let's say 100 post or more on the traditional porch. (You can check by going to your profile and then your activity.)
- It must be from a BF supporting dealer
- It must be in stock
- Only one knife - Not multiples that add up to max amount.
- Please post a link and photo to it so I will know exactly the one you want. If the link has multiple options let me know which one you want. If it sells by the time I draw a winner do not repost another option. We will work that out through pm/email.
- The winner will pm/email me their shipping info and when I receive both I will then mail you yours.
- I am not responsible for your local knife laws

I will let this one run a couple of weeks. Unless no one wants a free knife. I will also call it if my wife goes into labor. Due day is in 2 weeks.

Good luck! Have fun! And go for it! Pick something you have always wanted.

Thank you again for being some of the best folks out there. You guys restore my faith in humanity daily.

Here is a link for BF Dealers to help you guys out.

Congrats on the new baby! Not an entry, but great fun for a Giveaway! Good luck, folks!

First off, congrats on the soon to be newborn and good luck to everyone in this very generous giveaway. I saw your sales thread and since you sold off your Broadway Jack due to it being just 'too pretty' ;) (there's no such thing as too pretty :p) why not wood for a user/still just as stunning in a another bohncliffe with a serpentine pattern to boot.

Congrats on the upcoming youngen!
This was really hard. At the moment the knife I am most obsessed with is the 73, but you already have some fine examples of that one in your collection. After browsing a few sights I narrowed it down to 3 knives; a Schat and Morgan peanut in stag(would be my first peanut and S&M), a 77 yankee jack(I mainly want a WA jack, but that is the closest thing I can get without going second hand), and last but not least a 66 jack.
After much thought I think I am going to go with the 66 sepertine in garnet jigged bone(of course stag, ebony, or any other material would be fine with me). This would be my first true GEC(excluding my GEC made Northwoods).

Thank you for this incredibly generous giveaway!

All those so far are great choices! If you decide on something different or change your mind, just edit your original post. I wouldn't mind another 73 :D

Just remember, if my wife goes into labor we are calling it! So right now, if she was to say "It's time" the chances are great for those who have entered.

There are multiple dealers that support BF. Explore them all. All of them are great.

Oh, by the way, it's another lil girl :)

Edit:

Lol:D Mark, you crack me up brother.

An awesome idea and such a generous giveaway. I love this part of the internet! Thank you very much!
I like the "I will also call it if my wife goes into labor..." rule: it adds to the suspense. Congratulations on your ever growing family (how many is this now)???
P.S.: Your profile picture is awesome!

I would have to go with a Northwood Madison Barlow in Cocobolo. You sold a Northwood and should probably replace it with another (better) one. I've never owned a Northwoods and would love to someday. I love the dual-long pull on the same side on the same side. I love the blade shape. I love the handles on these knives....

If the Barlow is a bit too close to the limit, then a Ben Hogan would be awesome!

Either in Stag:

Or in Bloodwood:

Never mind...I could have sworn I was signed up before 2015!!!

Brett, you're too kind. Not an entry as the one(s) that I'm missing, is the Hawthorne and it's been sold out forever now. Congratulations to you and your wife!

Not an entry as I've been the recipient of some other generous folks here.
Great idea for a Give Away Brett. I like the ideas listed so far for the Willamette Whittler or the Grinling Whittler. I recently got the Willamette from Derrick and have to say, it's a lot nicer than I thought it would be. It could easily make a nice EDC.

Bob you should rethink entering my friend. I may just have to enter you and surprise you. I do still have your address :D

Nothing out there you want to try or have wanted?

:D Brett, I appreciate it, but these days I barely carry anything at all. Between my hospital stay and home recovery, I haven't really made an effort. Haven't even been able to leave the house yet with the exception of a nervous ride back to the hospital earlier this week.
Good luck to everyone. Knowing Brett, it'll be something nice. :D:thumbup:

First of all, congratulations on the little daughter on the way!
And thanks for doing this generous giveaway.

If your Northwoods Broadway was too fancy to carry, maybe you need something more hard-working. Something with a punch:

I see one in Blood Red Bone, and one in Chestnut Bone. You take first pick :D

Or just go crazy!
