Help Me Pick 2 GAW - WINNER - ROBBW - Thanks Again

Great GAW Brett!1 The 66 Calf Roper Slim in Ebony is something I have looked at for a good long while but, for some reason, never picked up. It looks to be a simple but, capable package.

Brett,
thank you for your generosity and contribution.
I know you might be thinking about a traditional folder...but why not a fixed blade?
I think we would be happy with a Nessmuk...

This is a great giveaway. I put way too much thought into it. I hate to admit this, but I actually went through RevDevil's Paid Vendor List and looked at each and every vendor on that list. I knew I was looking for a fixed blade, as I've been on a fixed blade kick lately and I know you have as well. I spent way more time than is healthy looking at knives, and found about a dozen that I hadn't seen before that I really liked. I narrowed it down to two and flipped a coin. This guy was the winner:

This was the runner up:

Thanks a ton for this GAW, as it was an eye opener. I didn't know that CSC had made a fixed blade coppersmith, and it's D2 to boot. Looks like a fabulous knife. I'm going to be doing my best to get my hands on both of those whether I win or not.

Very clever idea for a GAW Brett! Not an entry please, but if I was needing a new knife, I would certainly be interested in this one:

Have fun, and congrats to the lucky winner!

Annnnd, P.S. I just saw in another thread that you already scratched this itch :) You have nice taste in knives

Well generous of you Brett, thank you and I'd fancy a try.

I don't believe you have one of these and it's a new issue in Barehead which I like and I'm not fortunate enough to own one.

Mike at Collector Knives has put these in stock just lately. An unusual knife and I daresay a great item to celebrate the new joy about to enter your world:thumbup::thumbup: Northfield Ben Hogan in Bloodwood.

Many thanks, Will

Thanks for the incredibly generous GAW, Brett! Also, Happy Father's Day and congrats on the impending addition to your family!:thumbup:
How about a simple, no-nonsense cutting tool?

Brett, great giveaway and really hard to resist entering. Speaking of hard to resist, those Willamette Whittlers in blood red bone sure are looking good!

Two weeks to go Brett! Great stuff my friend, look forward to hearing the good news :)

I've already been the recipient of your generosity, so hope you'll accept a pass on this one. I see you're getting some good suggestions, and those pics are hard to beat

Thanks for the giveaway Brett, and good luck everyone

Thanks again everyone for the kind words! You all have posted some incredible knives!

It looks like things are slowing down so I thought I would give this a bump and announce the winner tomorrow. No need in having someone wait for a knife longer than it takes to deliver one. Plus, I wouldn't mind doing this before the big day while I more time on my hands.

Remember, if you change your mind you can edit your orginal post.

On a side note, maybe someone who is looking to gift someone else will notice a post and pass along a surprise.:D;)

Thanks again for being awesome!

Not an entry...
This is probably the most generous giveaway I've seen on here in a long time, I cannot believe this is not 10 pages long. A really cool idea that there will be twin knives out there because of this.

I am so very excited for you and your wife, what an exciting week for you guys. Good luck on the headboard construction: that kind of work can be really fun.

Exactly!

Good man brother!

Brett - Having been on the receiving end of your kindness and generosity before, I am

noting this as a "Non Entry" post. This is however one of the coolest GAW's I have seen since I

have been here on the porch. I am extending to you and your family my best wishes and prayers

for that new member of your family. May God Bless :)

Congratulations! What a way to usher in a new child. I've been away a while myself--lots of good family things and travel for the past few months.

I've been toying with the idea of a pocketable, fixed-blade knife. Not a really-too-big-to-pocket-carry knife, but a very diminutive fixed blade that could be carried comfortably in a front pocket. At a scant 5" OAL and a blade shape that looks perfect, I present the Arno Bernard Bush Baby Dassie in giraffe bone:

Congrats to RobbW! You have won a new Arno Bernard! :D

A pm has been sent to you buddy.

I have never owned a Bernard. For that matter I have never owned N690 or 440c which from what I read N690 is close to it. This will certainly be a first for me. Thanks for picking out a beauty imo.

Congrats again

Thanks to all the who posted and thank you again for the kindness.
