I voted Leek. Solid little knife and replaceable, and a little classy. Classy is always good when you're vacationing.

Take the knife you find most useful to your personal needs. I never quite understand buying knives that people are too afraid to travel with around the world for fear of losing them. If you need a knife of a certain quality at home then is that need not greater when you travel to interesting and unusual places ? I have always taken my best knives travelling with me (and doing a little due diligence on the legality of import/export - as opposed to possession in country). Yes one day I may loose a knife but never yet (and there are some really crappy/corrupt counties represented in my passports) and I have always had a quality blade(s) I like with me.

I'd suggest a Opinel!! Stainless versions are great. Heat and Vaseline or oil to get the joint a bit sealed.

Few bucks if stolen or lost. Great for food prep. Different sizes.

Only take something that you would give away. Then you won't care if it's lost or stolen. Cheap & functional are the criteria.
Have fun!

Just kidding^^^^^ I voted for the Trapper because I don't know how the authorities feel about OHO or AO knives....sometimes it doesn't matter one bit that it is "legal". Plus, no visible pocket clip.
Have a blast!!!!

I voted leek and injection. Easily replaced and the leek is kind of a “nicer” knife.
I wouldn’t do any knife without a clip for fear of it slipping out of my pocket. I also recommend a sak , I always seem to need a bottle opener on vacation!

I voted CASE Trapper.. Clip blade to cut and spey blade for when you are in a restaurant and they give you one of those useless knives to cut your food with.. Use the spey..

I voted for a disposable Kershaw Injection.

Last year we rented a house in Tuscany with an outdoor fireplace. I brought nothing save an SAK so I bought a supermarket Chef’s knife and a hardware store ax. This year I’ll bring a small knife roll with me in check-in baggage, and hope the ax is still at the house.

Assembling that travel roll is this year’s fun goal.

Of that list, Injection. I would add a SAK of some sort for public use.
Keep the injection hidden away unless of knife of that size is really needed.

the blackstar is pretty safe in terms of legality most anywhere being sub 3 and a slip joint. and it's a sweet little knife to have/have fun with. i wouldn't want to lose it to some ignorant authority thouugh, so might not risk it

Take that ALOX Vic front and center there. Put it on a long, dark lanyard. Makes it easy to find in the sand. Enjoy the vacation.

If I'm driving I will have a knife, if I am flying I don't usually bother. I don't ever recall needing a pocket knife on a vacation anyway, but I always carry a corkscrew!

I'm of no help.
I just went to Disney with the family for a week over Christmas, and this was my travel knife(s);

Plus a buck vantage in 20cv not pictured. Still at the bottom of my backpack stuffed inside a kids shoe...

You're dang lucky Mickey M , Donald and Goofy didn't drag you down into the underground Disney dungeons !

DocJD DocJD we actually rented a house in Clermont, so the Disney gang had no jurisdiction... the Buck however, it did make it into every park, starting by accidentally still having it in my pocket at Busch Gardens, and stashing it at the bottom of my backpack (in a kids shoe) at the gates... made it through security and after a long day forgot about it, and brought the same backpack to legoland, magic kingdom, epcot, and hollywood studios, so yeah, there's that...

Just in case, ya know?

Victorinox Spartan
