A stress releaving step before ht makes a world of difference for warp. I have had zero issue with warp with Ztuff and CD#1 when using a stress releaving step.

You are dead on. I talked to my heat treater and they've confirmed that the warping is happening out of the quench and not during tempering or cryo which is really good news as we don't need to change any of those steps. This is a huge weight lifted because the cryo and low temper are what give such great hardness and edge stability. We are going to rerun the warped blades with a stress relief and see how they do.

Blanchard grinding and bevel grinding done. These are really shaping up to be something special. Weighing in at exactly 22 ounces without scales. Next stop, stonewashing, logos and scales.

Alright yall, we have knife. I just got my first test blade completed minus the logo which I will do later this week with my laser guy.

These things SLAP. I've decided to go with stonewashed flats and a satin bevel to give it that contrast of the original fell beast. I'm working on the stonewashing process for these and want to get a more aggressive finish and really get the bevel to pop. Also note the stones didn't get into the fuller that well so it is still showing the golden color from tempering. Ill have that fixed for the production batch.

I will be posting the order instructions thread for these shortly and the sale will take place on Wed Oct 2 at 7:00PM EST. I'll have 30 available, first come first serve. Price is $550 with shipping and sales tax covered by me ($50+ value). First 10 to order will get a free kydex sheath. Otherwise these will ship with a basic canvas sheath or kydex will be available for purchase for $55.

These have grit scratches, tooling marks, and the bevels are not completely perfect but, all things considered, I think the Fell Beast is absolutely the most knife you can get for your money in 2024. I'm really proud of the value I am able to offer on this model with all the expensive finishing steps and premium materials on an 18in blade.
