Help, murder knife.

Just curious: Do you even have a vested interest in the murder, any background in detective work, any forensics work, any interest in hearing real life information? Or have you formed an opinion on some distant case you want to write a book about to make money, and, therefore, are digging for extraneous information to make you appear intelligent to readers, but that will bring you no further to a conclusion about anything? You have been given so much information about the knife you asked about it makes my head spin, and yet you argue with every answer. What are you looking for, exactly? Nobody, no matter how correct they are, is giving you what they want. You are appearing to be a bit of a nut case at this point. How about the specifics of what you want, and why? Otherwise, this whole thread has been a waste of time for everyone trying to help you with the original question.
I have not read the original writings you wrote, because, frankly, your posts hurt my head enough already. Is this an unsolved case you think you can crack better than police, or was someone arrested for the crime, and you hope to vindicate someone? What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish? Simplify this for us...

Gonna break the string of light-hearted posts with a more sobering one.

Here is a link to a news article about the double-homicide that the OP was looking into, in case anyone was interested in what happened.

The guy who got killed was only 8 years old, Mohammed from Lebanon.
The whole case is a mistery, so much evidence but no killer, so I thought if I could trace the knife it maybe could help, if it is a rare knife.

To be fair, I read the link. I'm even more confused now. WTF is this info? Looks like a bunch of disconnected observations, most of which hold no water. You have not even come to any conclusions, just weird observations. What are you trying to accomplish? Finding evidence the detectives missed? Solving the crime or playing super detective? Your observations seem to go nowhere. I appreciate the thought of trying to help finding a killer, but it appears you are making no progress that shows anything. If you are fixated on the fact that his chest was crushed, many folks stomp on chests of victims when they are on the ground. If you think the type of knife will lead somewhere, you should be studying legit sources instead of posting on Bladeforums, and then arguing with every bit of help. How about interviewing witnesses and police? I see no info from reliable sources in the case. You seem to be pointing fingers loosely at the family, at least it appears that way, so why not talking to them for information? I just don't understand your direction here? Fill us all in.

BTW, OP, you owe me 15 painful minutes of my life back trying to figure out your ramblings, and 3 Exedrin for the headache. You might want to rework your findings into something readable.

Have you never watched a good murder mystery TV show?!? The detective toward the end always asks a bunch of seemingly dumb questions and states a bunch of stupid observations that make him/her look like an idiot...moments before tying it all up in a nice bow, making the arrest, and getting a full confession.

Wait for it....

How come I think this story ends before the big break is announced:rolleyes:

Sorry guys for killing your time, but I didn't know it is only 3 countries manufacturing butterfly knives, USA, China and Taiwan, thank you for that information.
Close the thread now.

Not American, Not Taiwanese (their quality standards are higher), this style is only made China.

Here is the company that distributes them sometimes -

Go forth and prosper :).

There are many countries that are producing/have produced balisongs, among those both Finland (Hackman) and Sweden (Gnosjö), just because the particular balisong pictured is most likely made in Asia along with thousands similar ones doesn't mean that it's the only place making them.

Don't close the thread, just lock it and let it be a reminder to the next person who comes along with a similar question and similar arguments, or just someone looking for a laugh.

.

Note the boxes of the two top knives have a similar pattern number scheme and the boxes are similar. The company listed on the top box is the maker and distributer for those knives, they are the one I linked to. Call or write them for information, if anyone will know, it's them.

Are you, per chance, referring to Columbo? ;-)

Thread is sort of like driving by a car wreck, you know you shouldn't look, but you do.

Maybe this has already been answered, it's hard to focus on text while shaking my head so much. Why is the origin of manufacture at all relevant to this case?
If I follow the ops point (which with all the head shaking is not easy), he has some idea that if he can id the knife/brand he could track it to the seller and then the buyer. Gotta love an optimist.

Was somebody stabbed with the knife (yes/no)
Apparently two people, unconnected.
did that person die (yes/no)
yes
Do they know who did it (yes/no).
Apparently not, well...at least one person does.
Do you think this is some kind of high end weapon with a serial number that will lead you to the owner ( considering the knife wasn't stolen)? This is not the case, it's a hunk of crap pot metal knife as many people have already said, not a gun.
Like someone already accurately put it, you'd have better luck if the murder weapon was a broken beer bottle.
Oh!! You were being rhetorical, you had pretty much figured it all out :D.
Untraceable knife is untraceable!
