Help needed Florida !!!!! augh damnit

I am trying to buy a Microtech Mini Socom Auto from a member in Florida and the guy has totally lost his mind and refuses to ship the knife to me in Georgia I even sent him a picture of my concealed weapon's permit and drivers license!!! this guy is vary "special" benchwarmer380 is his user name.

it is an exact match to my mini socom tanto same year and everything.
I will pay anyone in Florida to buy and ship it to me 25 extra please help?

This is ... strange. A seller needs no excuse to refuse to sell to a particular person. I am going to move this to Feedback so we can have the discussion that doesn't belong in the Exchange.
 
This may just be me, but verbally calling out a member with nearly 30 positive feedback and over 2000 posts for not wanting to ship you a knife is a pretty tact less move. He can make any sale terms he wants. That's his prerogative. I can't imagine you'll find much sympathy.
 
What you are asking to be done is illegal. It's illegal to ship an auto across state lines. you should just make the drive if you want it that badly, or have him ship it to a FFL.
 
The seller doesn't want to get in trouble, what's wrong with that? If he ships that knife over state lines, or meets you on the FL/GA line, and steps over the line into FL, he could get in trouble. You want the knife, he's just covering his butt.

Do you have a local knife shop or gun shop that can accept the knife for you?
 
how far in georgia are you from the state line?

I came across this thread last night. I too had seen Benchwarmer's sales thread, & had read his clearly stated TOS conditions:

Totally classless move on the part of this guy to start a thread like this, calling out highly respected, reputable member. This "chipper" guy lives in Georgia. If he wants this knife so badly, just drive to Florida, already!

I'm sure BenchWarmer can't wait, to sell his auto to a 3rd party, especially after the OP posted this! :rolleyes:

Not reading the TOS in his sales thread and then starting a thread here complaining about his TOS when he denied a sale is a good way to make yourself look bad, the non-seller did everything right in this case and you are being most unreasonable

His thread clearly states FLORIDA ONLY..... so, whats the problem? As the buyer he has the right to sell how he chooses.
 
Yup, read the terms. Even then, the seller can sell to anyone he wants. Starting a thread like this about a quality member who has done nothing wrong makes you look bad. Also, trying to go around his back and get the knife through another member? We've seen that recently and it didn't end well.
 
15 e mails with this user all options discussed shipping to FFL I personally have an FFL no results nothing but refusing to cooperate. Guys come on get real here I have bought and shipped auto knives from all over you can buy an auto right now from blade hq or any any knife store and ship it right across many of state lines.

You get real. He doesn't want to sell to you. Get over it. And guess what? Most of the folks who read this thread will not sell to you now either since this is the way you handle things. Think about it.

Get a grip on yourself. NO ONE NEEDS another small microtech automatic. You WANT another small microtech automatic. Seller stated terms FLORIDA ONLY. Drive there and pick it up or STFU with your whining.
 
Craytab your obviously just as bad as him buying and selling is not personal just business this post wasent supposed to be here was placed in wanted section
 
Trying to pay someone to get me the knife I want not cry or whine about it like a bunch of little girls whatever it takes to get the job done no personal s*** crying whining just get it done
 
chipper1, if it really was not personal just business, I would not have moved it here. But you had to make it personal by taking out your frustration with a seller who set his terms and stuck by them. His sale, his terms.
