We need your input to build an incredible Buck Knives 110 Folding Hunter.

We are back at it again! This will be our 2nd Forum created knife and giveaway. The first was a Buck Marksman and it turned out amazing.

Since then we have been plotting and planning a more modern version of the 110 and we need your help!

So, we have created the poll above to get your input on different configurations including options like blade steel, inlay type, blade type etc. If you would like to expound on your thoughts by posting replies we'd love it.

Your input is very important to us. So important, that we are doing a DRAWING TO GIVE AWAY THE FIRST KNIFE FROM THIS PROJECT. It is a big thank you to you all for your input and good advertising for us!:P

The rules for the drawing are:

Post a reply to this thread with your input on the knife.

Only 1 entry per member. (But please do post multiple times if you have something else to contribute)

Hope and pray that you win.

That's it! Thanks in advance, and we look forward to the discussion!

S90V and Carbon Fiber are the only things that haven't been done to death already. I'm still on the fence with the aluminum or nickel. Part of me likes the weight, part of me wants in lighter.

Should really do something different though. How about a bareheaded version with carbon or Micarta? They did a sweet job on the BCCI 110 and 112...

I vote Drop Point, BG-42, Satin, No Nail Nick, Carbon Fiber, Nickle Silver. If possible a stamped blade not laser etched.

Cts-xhp blade is a match made in heaven...

Marbled CF w/ pocket clip, is like a lochsa 3.0

I am firmly in this camp with Pokt. "Bareheaded, (like the BCCI 110, (full liners), micarta handles, S90V blade, (can be a sandwich steel or coated, no nail nick) with a leather sheath. I'm in and I'll pay you up front, before I've even seen it. Thanks, DM

Satin or stonewash would be fine with me. I voted drop point but would consider clip, since I have bought them before. I voted pocket clip, but it would depend on the clip, I'd want it to sit very deep. I am also not completely sure the width of the 110 would make it a great knife to carry on a clip if it had one. I really like carbon for some reason.

Buck needs to be convinced to do a run of Buck 110's with 1095 blade Steel.
I know they have offered a carbon steel in the past, but it wasn't 1095.
With 1095 they could keep the frame, and handle material standard keep the cost to within 10$ of a standard 110.

Clip point, S90V blade with a stonewash finish so that I'd actually use the thing. I'd be good with either black micarta or carbon fiber if it has a nice weave.

I would like Finger Grooves on this one.

Blade Shape: Drop Point
Blade Steel: S90V
Blade Finish: Satin
Nail Notch
Inlay Material: Navy Blue Micarta
Bolsters: Nickel Silver

I'm in for sure. I like the idea of old school BG42 as a blade material, it's one of the best steels out there just expensive to work.

Thanks for the generous giveaway and good luck with the project.

I think there are a multitude of configurations that would be great. However, I'd like to see the knife with red inlay. Bright red would be great! You just never see it.

Joe

A stonewashed BG42 drop point with black micarta and aluminum bolsters would be sweet clipped in my pocket.
Thanks for asking!

I like a drop, S90V, stonewash, No Notch, Nickel & Fiber. NO ALUMINUM! I really don't like the light weight...it just doesn't feel like a BUCK 110.
