Thank you Sir. I have retired my belt and have moved on to suspenders... My reason for needing a pocket clip.
I know the feeling. I just prefer to have a knife in my pocket. Easy to get and with that clip it's out of 👀 also.

I understand that people like what they like but I don't understand how you can do a "modern version of the 110" without a pocket clip. More than any material, it's the hallmark of the modern folding knife.

You can always remove a pocket clip if it's not your cup of tea. And if you are going to have a pocket clip I think you should be able to move it to which ever position you want to carry it, so have the holes tapped for each position.

And make it Navy Blue Micarta. :)

Agreed, it should also be reversible. I also don't think you can call it a 110 without a clip point.

reversible would be okay, but going 4 way would be too many holes. I dont think tip up or tip down will be as critical since your probably going to use both hands to open it anyway

The Vantage clip would only allow left or right side . Another good thing there would be No holes in the bolsters. If someone diden't want the clip the knife would still look good 😊 I would not buy a 110 with a clip any other way. Don't like the clip screwed into the bolsters 💩

That's a good point maybe it could be screwed into the backside of the bolster/backspacer (i think there's a small one)

Plus, it carries very deep.

For sure, Buck would have have no problem. They drill and tap those tiny holes for the Vantage they should be able to do it to the 110 pommel end and mill a flat spot to make the clip sit right on in .

Can someone explain the benefit of a stonewashed finish on a blade rather than a standard satin finish?

Is it more scratch resistant? Stain resistant? Prettier?

What's the draw?

hides wear better typically. some find it an attractive finish as well.

Looks like things are starting to slow down on the voting. So far it's looking like a:

Drop point
S90V
Stonewash
Nickel Silver
Carbon Fiber
Nail Notch

Are you all sure about the nail notch? It's the one thing we might want to debate further!

I don't see a need for a nail notch on a drop point... the clip point is easily pinchable and the drop even more so.

Is S90V a supersteel version of S30V? I will admit I don't follow all the various blade steels and had never heard of S90V until this thread started. Thanks, OH

votes rule. Cant really go against the majority. Im good either way.
