I'm pretty sure everyone will change their mind when they see a mock up with Navy Blue Micarta ;)

I agree but some may ask what's a poll for?

Poll definition, a sampling or collection of opinions on a subject, taken from either a selected or a random group of persons, as for the purpose of analysis.

I don't think that a poll means that it is the final decision. Preston

Lol I know what a poll is for. Im sure whatever the configuration is it will be awesome. If I was investing and wanted to sell them to a majority then I would be sure to consider the popular vote. One blade style no nail nick works, the other it makes sense. Can't wait to see it.

I'm suprised nickel is winning against aluminum. I did vote for nickel though..

:thumbup::thumbup: I'm just not sure about the S90V. Preston

The poll is for the forum to design a knife. However, if I've learned anything from the last poll, it's the flat ground option that was voted on by the forum for the 830, was the wrong choice. I should have made the call then to run a hollow grind. So in that spirit, once the mock up is created, I'm going to scrutinize every choice. I don't think one change for the betterment of the knife negates the entire poll, at least I hope it wouldn't!

Honestly........I don't care how it gets built, but please for the love of God put a pocket clip on it, so I can edc it in my front pocket.

Ha! Now that is an option to stir the bees nest! Personally, I would love to see a pocket clip as well, but that is one I won't fight the majority on, too polarizing. However, we are working on something in the laboratory for later this year!

A few similarities with the Lochsa. But yet there was alost no interest. I love mine but years later a limited production is still kicking around. At right about 200 dollars as well.
S30v. G10, thumbstud. 500 made. The pocket clips looks better on the non bolster end though.

Fine but sticks out about an inch. Bulky as well. The Bulk kinda takes away from a pocket carry clip. Slimmed down would be different story but takes away some charm of a traditional knife. Alot of ways to look at this.

Can't wait to see it no matter which way it goes. I'm still kinda blown away the Lochsa did not sell out right away.

Thanks, Makael, I don't carry my AG 347 much 'cause of the same reasons and it's shorter and slimmer than a 110. I hate to say it but the knife I carry most by pocket clip is a non-Buck. Wouldn't be that way if Buck had one similar in build, form and function. Preston

IF the majority of the polled group wants a pocket clip,-- ok. Still, I hope I like the remainder of the knife because I'll find some way to grind the pocket clip off. DM

mainly cause folks swing by and vote but never plan on buying one. different reasons end price higher than budget, not a model they end up wanting/needing in the end when it comes time to part with ones hard earned cash. too many other buying choices drain the spending funds by the time knife comes along. nothing malicious just the way people are. impossible to sort that out. flat ground is never wrong.:)

I agree with both you guys. Mr. SK that the flat grind was not a strong seller and that a lot of folks dropping in here and voting have NO intentions of purchasing this knife.
So, how does one separate the grain from the chaff. That's what he's trying to do and make some adjustments. DM

I think that knife had a Lot going for it. The price was a little much . The pocket clip looks like a after thought to me and sticks a little out of the pocket to. I truly believe the Vantage style pocket clip is about the best and cleanest way to go.If not liked 2 screws and it's off . No Holes on any of the bolsters and the knife would still look clean. Clip on your choice left or right. Carries very deep in front pocket. What's not to like? Years ago a 110 in a sheath was the norm now , well I for one would much have my Knife in my front pocket and up and down all the way to the side of pocket not laying sideways on the bottom, not as big and heavy as a 110 . Personally I have enough 110s the Vantage Clip would be the only wallet opener for me.

... the Lochsa. .
Oh, heck. I didn't know this existed. I'm buying one if it comes across the exchange.

However, we are working on something in the laboratory for later this year!
Or this.

Or maybe both. I've been wishing for a 110 with a clip for a while now. I was even considering having one of the craftsmen on the forum tap some screw holes into a 110 for me but it looks like I'll be able to buy a production model sooner or later.

The problem with the Lochsa is that it isn't aluminum (heavy!) and the blade still had a nail nick, which looked horrible. The materials and price didn't really add up either. Also, many drop in to vote, but don't buy simply because their choice did not make the final cut.

Maybe. Others are picky and hard to please. Which creates brain fries for those trying to bring a product that pleases a majority. DM
