Well here we are! Drawing day. I told you we would hold the drawing this week and it has just taken place. Please refer to the proof below. Highly scientific, everyone's name folded up and drawn by a 3rd party.

Thank you to all of you! This is has been a huge pleasure to get your ideas and feedback. This thing started in my mind as an 831 Tanto and has morphed into the best 830 yet. The specifications that are set in stone are: the new scales, OD Green G10, S35VN steel. We are still waiting on the sample to get a feel for the hardware and blade finish.

But the knife already comes with 154cm and aluminum scales. All you're proposing here is making a color change.

Ok fine an s35vn blade steel in a drop point blade with a stone wash finish And one side a titanium scale and the other side a g-10 scale in OD green or maroon! Not many knives have Maroon on them so let's see it!

Well I suppose that depends on if you're half full or half empty person! Ha! The handles keep getting pushed back for the sample. Buck is a pretty busy place. So from the time we get the handles, and get the order in, only a week will pass. Then I'm thinking 6-8 weeks of manufacture. So...I'll call it 9 weeks, and others can call it 2 months. I can barely wait that long, but what can you do?!

I hear you. I've been somewhat purposely avoiding this thread because I'm extremely grateful for the giveaway and I feel a little guilty with my mind going, "Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" Thank you again for the awesome idea and prize, and everyone else for the congrats.

Wanted to give everyone an update. The request is in to Buck for the 830s, and we are pushing for a mid May release date. I know it seems so far, but don't wish your lives away for a knife! Okay..maybe for this knife..
