Sooo..... how long before I win this free knife drawing thingamabober? :D

In all seriousness, that's a badass looking knife, and would get me to make the jump to buying one.

Sooo..... how long before I win this free knife drawing thingamabober? :D

In all seriousness, that's a badass looking knife, and would get me to make the jump to buying one.

We are going to do the drawing this week and let everyone know who won. It's going to be a good day for someone!

Curious.... if you're going to use G10, are you planning a solid color or a multi-color?

I personally am not a huge fan of the multi color layering of G10, but that doesn't mean my betters won't convince me otherwise! We are not planning to do layered on this, but you never know for future iterations. If everyone likes the new scales, and it is a success, I'm sure we'll be bringing other variations.

The grooves in the handle (on the prototype) run parallel with the pocket clip should be easier on the pocket. My Vantage Pro tends to wear the top of my pockets and the G10 does not have any grooves. That was a concern for me with top to bottom grooves.

I'm so glad that buck is evolving the marksman line I think this will be a huge win for the company

ZTD

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Buck has anything to do with it other than manufacturing the knives. SKI (among other vendors) are essentially having build-outs to their specifications made for resale, much like BCCI does for their annual knives and other vendors for special runs like the 5160 fixed blade series recently discussed.

I think groups like BCCI can order in qty's to get specific builds but other than that Buck has everything to do with it.

Well here we are! Drawing day. I told you we would hold the drawing this week and it has just taken place. Please refer to the proof below. Highly scientific, everyone's name folded up and drawn by a 3rd party.

Thank you to all of you! This is has been a huge pleasure to get your ideas and feedback. This thing started in my mind as an 831 Tanto and has morphed into the best 830 yet. The specifications that are set in stone are: the new scales, OD Green G10, S35VN steel. We are still waiting on the sample to get a feel for the hardware and blade finish.

Congrats to the winner of the new 830!!!

Everyone's user name:

And the winner!

Not gonna lie, I'm crazy excited about this one. I feel like the Marksman is a super underrated EDC option and this one looks to be that much better than the original.

Thank you so, so much for the contest and for the win! Y'all are doing some fantastic things and I'm very excited for what all else you guys have up your sleeves.
