Here we go again

Apparently this one was sent back to Queen to repair a broken spring, just before they closed their doors.
This is most odd. To replace the spring would have required removing the rear bolster and center back pins as well. The rear bolster is finished cleanly and the center back pin has been spun, so it is really weird that the pivot pin looks like that. Also, it would have been peened proud and filed smooth. I just do not understand how replacing a spring leaves you with a pivot pin BELOW the bolster surface. And the surface of the pin is rough, not at all what it would look like if it had been finished properly and then pulled in, say by using the blade as a pry bar. Its weird. Does the blade wobble?

Nope... solid as a rock.
Super sweet action too. In fact the whole knife is about perfect except for that pivot pin.
I seem to recall that you have shown that knife several times in different threads in the past few weeks, but I never even noticed the sunken pivot pin until it was brought up earlier in this thread. It is such a beautiful knife, it almost needs a flaw as a beauty mark.
