Here we go, daily carry and use of a small wood inlayed sebenza.

I'm curious to see how you do on getting the scratches out of the blade. My inlaid daily has a million scratches in the polished blade, and i've never tried to take em out.

It is going back to CRK shortly, I wonder if they can fix it.

I like to see some pics Justin so I know what I'm in for. Could you post a few? I dont think it will bother me, but maybe. I don't know. I don't plan on trying to remove any wear marks.

Presentation side is beautiful, flip it over and you go polished to bead blast just like BAM. To me, it's awful. It's why I have a micarta (all bead blast) and way worse than the 25.

+1

If I REALLY wanted one, I would have to get the lockbar polished, and the outside of the clip done. It wouldn't be possible to match the factory polish, then it would still drive me nuts for being inconsistent. Therefore I just skip it! The argument about grip is hard to make when the side your finger tips are on is all polished ti and smooth wood. I think it would be fair to say the polished surface w/ wood/ivory is for looks, not function.

Do you have a Micarta with a polished blade? That's a rare combo.

This test is ongoing. I am withholding comment until the end of April as I want to be sure of what I am learning about this great little knife. In the meantime, the little guy finds himself working hard for me at a trouble-call to the local concrete plant. You want pocket-wash? Everything fills with sand and grit after a day at this place. No slack for this knife!

Great photo....I love working CRK's. Keep it going Cody waiting for the report at the end of April.

Good topic!
I wondered if anyone actually used the polished line or simply collected them. This should be interesting.

Bump. Just got my small sebbie. I'm used to large folders so this seems so... Fragile... In comparison. But wow. My jaw hits the floor at the perfection that is Chris Reeve manufacturing.

Hey SocaL Kid......I was in your shoes. I was a big folder guy.....I'm telling you to give your little sebbie a chance. I'm still a week or so away from filing my "official" report on this little knife (not that my opinion matters), but from one CRK nut to another.....you are going to love that little knife if you give it a chance. Carry it for a couple weeks then tell me I'm wrong. It's not delicate. ;)

IMG_20140413_182932_114.jpg blades a little off center. Possible from loose change getting in it when clipped to my pocket.

I spent my first full work day with it. I take it back. It's a slim package, but highly capable. Disappears until you need it.

IMO, I've never seen such a small knife lock up like a vault like mine does. Hope you enjoy it. :)

I subscribed as well. I've got a Small CF that I carry deep pocket without a pouch but my Small Ironwood sees very little pocket time. Your Box Elder seems to be holding up nicely, kidcongo. :)

Oh yeah. It's being enjoyed. Fully. It attacks all materials with ferocity and grace. Comes out shining with stone tumbled elegance
