Aye, the price after discount it too good to pass up. If Spark says its ok anyway...

I agree with Bear on ditching the coating though. It's already stainless...
 
We can do a group buy on this. I'll need to check with Mike and see how much he'd want for some. Personally I'd prefer my steak knife to not have a coating on the blade.

Also, Brian- since you're a bit 'in the know' about the TOPS stuff, was there a purpose in mind for the blade? (I assume the name was fully tongue-in-cheek!). Really does look decent for the outdoors.
 
I don't know on this one, Spook. The first I've seen of it was in this thread. But I'll ask Mike the story behind its development.
 
Well, normally I think these things are given clever names to conceal their true purpose... However, in this case they, taking into account the location of the serrations (perfect placement IMHO, but I don't care for serrations) and the fact that they are available in multiples; could it actually be that they are really supposed to be steak knives? Tongue in cheek steak knives, but still steak knives?
