Here's A Very Special FMV14!!!! . . . The "Studio B" Edition!!!. . Coming This Wednesday 7-31-19 . .

Got my much anticipated email! Looks like I need to get me a Spartan Worn shield! (And email Mr. Brown)

Nice!
Do post pictures of the blade please.
I chose to be in the second group, so the sticker shock is more tolerable.

Mine was delivered about 30 minutes ago. Cant wait to get home and see this one.
I was totally excited to get it yesterday, but the Mrs. Had to run out to the zoo for the kiddo with friends and forgot. Disappointed, but still happy that it was a wife-approved purchase! She messaged me today to tell me she signed for it today, so I'm extra excited to get home too! (I don't get to leave work until after 5:30pm today)

Looks like theres different levels of patina, they both look ancient so far, just one a bit more so. They both look like they were put away blood splattered well over two thousand years ago. They really nailed the spartan vibe. That patina looks really really good, the green oxidation looks fantastic, so well done. That is some museum grade patina right there.

I imagine this is supposed to look like verdigris? Perhaps everyone here, or most, know what that is. I have not read all three pages of comments and possibly someone already said this. I think verdigris forms on bronze - certainly on copper and brass (brass cartridges left in leather cartridge keepers for too long will usually produce this). If on bronze, too, which makes sense, then a pretty good look as I think the early Greeks did use some bronze weapons. I think it looks really cool and I don't typically like these coatings. Nice to see the actual blades in hand! Enjoy!
