Camera didn't do it justice... Sun was setting in the west through cloud cover and I took the shot off pointing towards the northeast. The canyon looked like it was on fire, the light was unreal...January is a neat time to visit the Canyon, the crowds were very low...

This is the first time I took my daughter fishing and on a lil hike. Capturing her smile is easily my favorite outdoor memory!

Excellent contest and congrats on the supreme demonstration of your excess time :) :)

I have so many pics this year, but this one is a personal favorite. For me it defines tropical paradise. Volcanoes, palm trees, exotic women. Of all the countries I've been to (and I've been to thirteen in the past 6 mo), St. Lucia has my heart and soul. You have a straight view of grand piton an extinct volcano that marks the prominent feature of the island from air and from the hills. The local beer is also named after this and its little brother - piton beer - not too bad of a brew I must say!

Here's my favorite pic of me and my all-time favorite hiking partner, my wife. My wife is 5 months pregnant in the pictue, although you'd never tell. I'm watching her right now holding our little infant boy, our future hiking trio dude!

It's been an amazing year for us! We had a great trip to the Smokies where we did plenty of hiking and I was able to pick up a Graham Bros knife IN PERSON.

Then, best of all, the birth of our first child! It doesn't get any better.

Congrats on 3000!

This isn't the best wilderness pic I have, but it's special to me because it's the first time I ever set foot in a desert. It was taken 3 years ago somewhere in the Mojave.

I chose it because hiking with my girlfriend and her dog are when I have the most fun in the woods. It was taken about a week ago, and I also chose it because I'm hoping your wife is a dog person and chooses me! :D

Nice try but she's a cat person I believe.

J can I sway the vote if I send her a cat or two. :D

I happen to dislike them as much as you so for your sake I will forget to put airholes in the box:D:cool:
 
hahahahaha.....Thats funny. Well we all know how they treat packages, so I dont think an airhole will matter. They will probably look like spaghetti Os anyways:D
