High End EDC Pi$$ing Contest.....

Whats up with that sealed up Golden coin? And what is that "snap..." *cant read rest*?

This thread, if this was a real liquid pissing contest, the septic tank in here would be overflowing by now! :p

I don't always keep the high dollar ones I buy but I have kept the ones I like best.
I've had this Shirogorov mod 95 for almost 4 years now.

SNAP is a 2 ounce divisible silver bar. The gold coin is a US 1/4 ounce. I keep this hidden inside parts of my EDC. Emergency LAWFUL currency. Same with the Rolex. I could very easily turn that watch into a gun and money... should the need arise.

Ah! Thank you. Learned something new every day.

Also, that Rolex, how well would it convert to gun and money during a say (forgive my cliche) Zombie disaster? Wouldn't it be, by that point, a simple watch that does it's job with no regards to it's name brand?

Who's to say? I might need money and a gun tomorrow, regardless of whether the world is ending or not. My world might start falling apart tonight... and in that case, this felon will turn his $12k Rolex into a gun and money.

:D

I think it's more in preparation for a car being stolen with your wallet and phone in it than it is for zombie land bartering fodder.

12k Rolie will turn and burn for $7,500 which buys a crappy, but functional car, a Glock with 200 rounds, a new phone and 4k left in cash. Not bad for a wrist-mounted timepiece.
