Hinderers and Pens

The size and finish will be the same if they are both DLC. The main difference you will notice will be the weight. The stainless will be heavier. I prefer a little extra heft but I know some like the aluminum because its lighter. It's really your call. :)

Thanks Jensen, that is the way I was leaning. I picked up an armory tool and it's DLC coated stainless and it's really nice.

Hopefully Santa will drop one off for Christmas.

Haha. I was setting you up with a slow pitch so you could post a pic of whatever awesome pocket torch you have on you at the moment. :)

Wow N2K great macro ! I didn't know you also possessed that ever elusive "pond scum". I think there is only a handful of us have them.

It's simply an iPhone shot...then edited w/crop. That zooms the image far more clearly than zooming before initially taking.

I've had the Scum of awhile....post it from time to time...It continues to migrate from one XM to another but rarely sits uninstalled.

Hi Guys,

I'm sorry if this is the wrong area, but I see a lot of Investigator pens posted. Any thoughts on the difference between the DLC coated Aluminum or Stainless Steel version? I'm really not sure which one to go with.

Thanks!

I would definitely go with the stainless version. The pen is so small the extra weight of stainless makes the pen feel great in hand.

Just picked up a SS PVD Investigator pen with a warhead tip. The Investigator is definitely my favorite for EDC. I carry that thing everywhere and look for reasons to write with it.
