  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hmmmmm, what to do...... ( pics added)

I'll put in my two cents.

Awww yeeeah!

So, now that decision has been made, should I do all horn, or a horn and wood combo from my collection of fine woods:D

And I wonder if I should give removable handles a try, or just go with the standard pins and epoxy, hmmm

Maybe something like this, ivory paper micarta liners, claro walnut burland sheep horn, strip the blade, hand rub finish with brass pins......

Another liner option is some 1/8 inch thick birch , not as big a contrast as the micarta

Or no liner at all.....

Not really nessesary, but it's an option

Agree with this 110%. + an anqitued leather sheath with brass hardware.
Please excuse the drool...

Definately thinking leather, maybe something with a little gator inlay ( cleaning out my garage I found an ( I thought ) lost piece of gator skin

10 or 77.... Those would look awesome on my 10, then I would put the linen on my 4... Where'd ya get 'em?
Mix the horn with the leopard looking wood; first pic, number 2 from the left, or the first one from the right.. Both really nice pieces!

That's the redwood burl, i get my wood slabs from Burl Source ( they are a dealer here) Mark has good prices and outstanding customer service

Bone + Tweener = well, you already know that answer. ;) I say 17 as well, mostly because I'm starting to regret not getting a 17 over a saber ground 16, but I'm holding out! I'll get a 17 after I get the other stuff on my list, like someplace to put the 17 when I get it, and some paracord to hold the 17.....

Oh yes, first time doing a bolster, turned out nice, need to pin and polish up everything
