I'll snap a few tomorrow, I didn't end up using the liners, the horn and wood was already pretty thick to start and I didn't want to have to sand down almost all the horn and wood to get it to a comfortable level

Here you go, not quite perfect, but close, I learned alot about doing a bolster for my first go at it

looks pretty good! I was curious as to if ya beveled the bolster joint. That claro in close-zoom almost has a cork-like texture, kinda cool. I like it man, I should order that set of horns I've had in my cart forever. Were they long enuff to do a tweener without bolsters? or were they too short?

They would have been long enough to do all horn handles, and I almost did it that way. I was a little sad that the outer layered the horn had to be completely sanded/ cut down to make the handle the right thickness, when I do horn again, I'll look for thinner slabs, although they have a bunch of character that has come out, so I'm happy with them.

And yeah, I was noticing that about the walnut the other day, I need to tape up the blade and horn and put some CA glue on it to fill the voids

That handle turned out brilliantly! I love the combo look and and the horn fits the bowie style nicely.

I like the textured look. If it was me, I wouldn't mess with it lol

I think I may try the Buffalo Scale w/bark they have....since I have seen what the sheep's horn looks like now (thanks to you) Im curious about the buffalo

Oh noes! Got to thinking about a copper/ or brass and bone or wood handled BK15.... Someone around here said steam punk, got me thinking..... Grrrrrr

Where will you put the steam gauges and copper tubing? And it'll have to have a monocle holder on it to be really steampunk lol.
