HOG folders?

Here's a pic of a Ray Rogers custom Chupacabra folder shown with a puny Strider for comparison. :)
I have two Chupacabras on order; should get the first one very soon.
4" long 3/16" thick blade with 3/16" Titanium handles with 1/2" pivot for a very strong folder.
Not Busse FFBM strong but strong for a folder.

WHEN I get a GW, maybe STR could convert it into a folder. It looks like the Hogs lean towards Spyderco a little. Man, thanks for show'n some REALLY nice folders.

Strider RC or SNG, Hinderer Firetac, Emerson HD-7 or CQC8, Dozier Workhorse and some others that I can't think of right now. My real question is when is the Busse folder going to be out! I think the fixed blade "fix" has been met, now bring on the blade that we can carry just about any where.

The Spartan is AWESOME! I am saving for one right now. You could buy one and just keep it in your home. IDK where you are, but California law says this:

"Switchblades may be owned privately in the home, but not street-carried;"

You can still show it off and EDC it around the house!:D:)

I'm in Norway, where even just OWNING an auto can get you 6 months of jailtime :(

I carry a Vic. Swiss Champ daily with a GW and a Case pocket worn mini-copperlock.

If the GW can't be carried discretely I'll slip a Sebenza or BM in the pocket.

in general i would say titanium is not optimal. but the beta ti alloys like mission uses, take a great edge.

the wt's are typically carbon fiber overlays with carbide edges. ive handled a few, they are fantasically light and VERY sharp. i too am curious as to how the hold up as users.

Ive wondered about Missions folders as well. Ive heard pretty good things about them but havent handled one yet.. I own pretty much all of Missions fixed and love them.Very tough and of course corrosion free.

My Mission MPF dual ground tanto is just that--- Light, tough, sharp and NO rust.

Now that I typically have a good fixed blade handy I’m not as interested in “tough folders” as I once was. No matter how tough anyone says a folder is.... well it is just a folder.

When I have a .17 to .24 thick AD or MS in my brief case or pack, a weak slicing folder is all I really need. But I do like the aesthetics of something like a Sebenza, XM-18 or the like and that is why I'd carry those

yes, the point of the blade being titanium is it is: non magnetic, corrosion free, very light, very strong.

with current technology, i dont think they take as fine an edge as steel, but it is by no means dull. they make a fine working edge, imo.
