he does some great work...

Who makes that and what do they run, I have seen them around before but never caught the name I like that style and simplicity.

How do you know it's the strongest folder ever made? Are there any vids available or any destruction testing to back that up? Looks like an awesome knife and I'd love to own a knife which can claim to be the strongest folder - but I'd be hard pressed to beleive it without proof...

Also,
BM 710 D2 is my edc folder. Def not the strongest folder ever made. :p

UGLY as $hit....same as every other Strider ever made. The owner is a complete idiot, I lost all respect for him just reading on the forums. The price is outrageous, $1400, compared to $250. The Strider is bigger too.

And autos are cooler than any other folder, period.

Are we allowed to express opinions? If you go back and read all of the posts you will see other people bashing other brands.

No, I didn't see any bashing.

It is a question of what do you carry, not blanket "opinions" about a brand or maker.

If people cannot maintain a non-inflammatory, non-confrontational tone in their responses, it will be addressed.

Your choice.

the VIC SAK'S

dunno if I qualify as a hog... but currently these are some of my favorite folders:

Severtech
BM Griptilian
Kershaw Lahar
SOG X-Ray Vision
Kershaw Leek

and as far as people saying things about a Severtech ... have you ever held/opened/used one?

i carry a boker wharcom or a vic soldier around with me for a folder. i find small folders the most useful

I looked at Severtech, I am not a tanto person. And the clip point they have they are asking 500+ for....which I dont understand as it looks just like there others. I would buy the clip point but only for the price of the tanto's. I would be interested to try one.

Folder- no. But in addition to a Skeleton Warden, I carry a HAK (HideAway Knife) behind my wallet. Great for small chores!

Thanks! How does the titanium hold up as a folder knife steel?

in general i would say titanium is not optimal. but the beta ti alloys like mission uses, take a great edge.

the wt's are typically carbon fiber overlays with carbide edges. ive handled a few, they are fantasically light and VERY sharp. i too am curious as to how the hold up as users.

Back in July '07 I contacted Hinderer and he said he was making knives and they would be sold through his dealers.

So I got on a dealer list in 70th and 71st place. I talked to the dealer a few days ago and he said that he had 100 knives on order and the blades have been heat treated and are being sent back to Rick now. So maybe I'll see them before summer.

It wouldn't do any good to get on this guys list at this point for this batch because you'd be about number 150.

But if you want one some day.... you need to call the dealers he lists on his web page and see if any are adding to their waiting lists.

.

Thanks Tony...good information:thumbup::thumbup:

I ALWAYS have a sak on me. I own close to 40 but usually carry a tinker, soldier or hiker. I love Benchmade as well. Presidio(auto and manual), Griptilian, BM-42, Morpho. Spydercos I got covered. Been carrying a Rescue alot lately.Have a Endura, Delica and Spyderfly too.Leatherman Surge,Supertool 200, and PST. Couple opinels.Just got in to them, they are pretty cool.. and cheap. I also got a Fallkniven U2 for Xmas. Bunch more but cant think what. Some CRKT(kinda crappy but cheap).Obviously not all these at once but usually two. A SAK + something else. I like folders alot. Someday a Sebeza and a XM-18,but this Busse thing may be taking over that price bracket for me.

Note: I changed the post. I know when I said "It is the toughest folder ever made", I meant to say it is ONE of the toughest folders ever made. Sorry about the confusion guys.

Here are mine that I rotate in as needed, Marlowe Badger, ZT300 that I modified to have a beadblasted blade and black G10 handle, Ken Onion semi-custom Bump forum knife, Scott Cook Lochsa, G&G Hawk R.A.M. and a D.B. Fraley flipper. I have a Carrillo Monitor in the mail that I hope to use as a hard use knife soon. I will be trying this year to make my own Busse folder since Jerry isn't !!!!!!! :D
