Hog Online Induction 2008

Only Amy-O's pretty face can surpress the hunger as I wait for the my next Busse to arrive....thank god for Amy-O.

Thanks for the input HamFran. Part of my forum name is taken from my search and rescue radio callsign. My full call sign for what it is worth is Silver Star 61. I guess since River 8 uses his full call sign I should have just gone that route from the get go. Anyways since my forum name is from my SAR involvement then I should stick to that angle for my Hog Name if I'm understanding you correctly. Hopefully I can come up with something that is not to retarded sounding.

Hope I can make BLADE this year! Much close to Atlanta now in Greenville SC, than the 600+- miles when I was in Ft Lauderdale.

That's and easy one. Silver Swine 61 would be my top pick.

As I reflect on this, I think the joke is on all those emailing in their names. What was really fun to watch at these induction dinners was Jerry sitting there before conferring Hogship on someone and being at a total loss for a name because their forum handle was so obscure. He's making you guys do the work for him. Busse genius at work once again. :Thumbup: for Jerry. :D (and Amy too.)
 
I dunno...if Jerry doesn't come up with your Hog name in a Scotch-induced trance-state, does it really count? :D

Like the new online inductions or not, we have to remember one thing, it's Jerry's show. If he wants to extend induction via an online arrangement then I sure am not one to disagree with him. It is his company and customer relations we are really talking about here. Who can blame a purveyor from wanting to include a greater amount of his customer base in something that sets them apart? Isn't that one of the things we have to admit loving about Busse Combat? Jerry makes his customers feel like they are buying more than a darned good tool. The difference is that his regard for his customers is genuine.

Do some of the older Hogs feel a bit slighted? Maybe. Do they feel it cheapens the title of Hog? Maybe. Perhaps when Jerry decides on a strata for Hogs that allows the old timers and truly hard core to be discerned from the FNGs, as Bravad-Oink put it in another thread, some of these feelings will subside. Friends, let's us remember not to take ourselves or the Hog thing too seriously. The feeling of community and the friends I have made among this group mean more to me than any title. Infighting and ill will only serves to spread discontent and dissuade people from what really matters with this company.
