Hog Online Induction 2008

I was thinking that if everyone that was inducted online shows for BLADE '08 that it would remind me of being blessed by Pope John in Golden Gate Park with about 300,000 other people.

And Progunner... I'd trade that blessing for that SHSH with the 10" blade if we can figure a way to work the deal

:thumbup: I figure it isn't going to save me at this point.

I usually have it with me when I travel great distances or get on a plane. Now that he is gone it is quite special to me. I think those of us with Polish blood in our veins felt great pride in what he was able to accomplish with his life, all for the glory of God of course.

Well I think you know that I don't have polish blood in my veins but I do think I told you my girlfriend is a Polish Blond:thumbup: and she don't look nothing like you at Blade '07

i am happy to be a cyber-hog.

i know that i am not of the same status as a blade inductee.

some day ill get to atlanta for an in-person induction, but for now, im pleased with my status and happy for all the other on line inductees.

Dont get me wrong, I think its a great idea, and agree with the gunner also. Busse Combat is, and has been for years, more than just about the knives. I remember many a long night with deathchats, trading and the hunting for those damn tags....not to mention some great and still standing friendships made. Some of you blokes over there can take a good pork ribbing with the best of them.

Still, I do hope to get to party with you guys at Blade one year and that for me, will 'seal the deal' so to speak.

Well, I just had some wisdom teeth out and the pain is starting to kick in. So, I'll be restin up waiting for Ian (the local postie) to bring around my care package. He said it was heavy...hmmm, wonder what that could be...

Stay safe. Need to spit some more blood...

It is his company and customer relations we are really talking about here. Who can blame a purveyor from wanting to include a greater amount of his customer base in something that sets them apart? The difference is that his regard for his customers is genuine.

Do some of the older Hogs feel a bit slighted? Maybe. Do they feel it cheapens the title of Hog? Maybe. Perhaps when Jerry decides on a strata for Hogs that allows the old timers and truly hard core to be discerned from the FNGs, as Bravad-Oink put it in another thread, some of these feelings will subside. Friends, let's us remember not to take ourselves or the Hog thing too seriously. The feeling of community and the friends I have made among this group mean more to me than any title. Infighting and ill will only serves to spread discontent and dissuade people from what really matters with this company.

You're absolutely right... It IS Jerry's show, & what the Boss says, goes... I'm just glad I'm not Hammy right about now... That poor guy will be typin' inducted HOG names til BLADE'09!!! LMAO

...And we ARE gonna need a bigger Trough!!!

And this, I couldn't disagree with more. There are certain of the "iHOGS" (I think a better name than ITHOGS,) who are MORE than deserving to be called as the same "status" as a "blade inductee." Yourself, Tyrkon, jurt, gundy and gimmejr come immediately to mind.

Maybe Amy will have mercy on him and have them in a Word file or something and he can cut and paste them. I personally would make him work for it.

Got to shake the Boss Man's hand this past year at Blade, but couldn't stick around for Saturday Night's induction.
