Hog Online Induction 2008

I'm just in this for fun, guys. The minute someone resents the "hog" title given to someone is the moment that I quit playing the game. There is no status as far as I am concerned, and to think there is (for me) is to take this thing way too seriously. I may be wrong but I thought it was just a group of people that had something in common in our love of these knives. I was known as "hog-malion", but not any more. I do not want to be resented by someone who has been in this game a long time just over some assumed sense of status. I say this because I would rather befriend these people than have them look at me like someone who hasn't paid the dues.
Please understand I am in no way trying to put anyone down. I just like collecting these knives too much to risk some sort of civil rift, so I opt to continue without partaking in the hog induction, and remain as neutral as I can.
 
I just go by what BOSS HOG says. If other people want to whine about it then so be it. :p

The simple fact is that many of us collect these knives and are not part of the old guard. I have alot of respect/envy for that group, but try as I might, I'm not going to snap my fingers and become one of them. I have submitted my request to be a Hog and I leave that up to the Boss to grant or not grant me that status. I will make it to Blade, probably in 2009, and "shake the man's hand" for sure. But until that time, and if I get a Hog title, I'm going to proudly brandish that title, continue to collect/beat Busse knives and enjoy my Hog titled ASH1.

Don't take this so seriously... The BOSS says you are HOG, so you are HOG. What I'm saying is... Y'all REALLY should try to make it to BLADE... And WALLOW in your HOGdom... Shake the Man's hand. Meeting Jerry was great fun, and meeting so many others who are into Busse was awesome. Much fun to be had, food to be devoured, knives to be bought, and ya also get to meet AMY!!!! :D:thumbup::thumbup: Dues to be paid? Do you try to help folks when questions are asked here? Do you LOVE these knives?? Will you "trample" ANYONE who tries to get to the knife that YOU want first??? Have you DRANK the KoolAid???? LOL, if YES, then you're paying your dues.

Remember... It's an honorary title with the occasional perk... It's not like we get to pick the next Prez of the USA or anything. :foot:

So... Although you are HOG... Ya ain't truly a HOG til you've made the pilgrimage to 'Mecca', LOL... BLADE EAST!! So... Are ya coming????? :D:D:D:thumbup:

If anyone is worked up, tighty's in a knot, way too self-important and serious - it is because you do it to yourself.

This HOG stuff is tongue-in-cheek, guys. The performance of INFI is dead serious. Have fun, have a drink and come enjoy yourself. If you're not enjoying yourself, you've got something out of whack. :D

Well I'm very happy to announce that I too have been accepted into the hog family.

My hog name is Gianthogsta. I'm based in Sydney Australia and only have an FBM LE to my name with an ASH1 LE on it's way. I will certainly be buying more infi as time goes on.

man im comeing be there friday morn. for opening want to do the induction but pink g string:o that well uh man im going to have to drink a bunch to do that. weel not a bunch im a lite weight 5 shaot and im laying on the ground this could get interesting.

First, nasty ol' hogs cook up a plan. The next thing you know, a typically responsible (banned smiley, here ;)) father and Hog finds himself in a tiara and carrying a purse.

Things go downhill from there.

LOL the first time i got drunk i was 13 my sister boyfreind payed me $5 a shot i made 5 shot the next thing i now i was walking through down town garden grove CA. dressed like a cat theres more details but im not talking about that.i still have a scare to rember it buy.
