What the fire report called a defense (the action taken upon arrival at the scene) could also be called "let it burn." The very large track hoe tossed the house during the burn and again the next day. A cynic might say this was done to make an independent fire cause investigator's job impossible. Paving the way for the fire report to say just about anything in order to agree with the LEO report. Thus enabling unchallengeable profiling of the surviving disabled person at the scene.
 
Do they think your son started the fire? I would be checking where the lid to that safe is at! Has anyone considered you where robbed and started the fire to conceal that fact?
 
I haven't seen any evidence of thinking on the part of the authorities. It appears to me to be profiling. He was disabled at the scene of a fire of a home in which he lived so he was charged with the fire, case closed.

No official considered any other possible cause what-so-ever. None. I left the house at 8:15 with the clothes dryer going on extra hot set for 1.5 hours full of wet bath towels. Son was asleep downstairs. All doors locked. Stranger took cell phone photos. Fire officials arrive 10 AM ruled immediately that fire was not survivable and let it burn taking defensive action only.

There could have been lots of causes.

Independent cause investigator told me that he starts with 700 possible causes and works it down to the one actual cause. I have not been able to reach him lately. My emails bounce and I get automated response "back August first" which is too late for my son's scheduled court date, unfortunately. House was burnt to the ground and tossed during burn and again the next day by a very large track hoe. Cause determination to a certainty may not be possible. That hasn't slowed the police, fire marshals or court to rush my son toward prison.
 
I believe the dryer started the fire. Hot damp towels and spontaneous combustion is well documented. How did they get an excavator out there so fast? And who is this stranger that took the pictures? What was they doing on your property? I would be hiring a private detective to find those questions out. They have you son on a railroad and their going to run the tracks as far they can, because it's easier than explaining who ordered the complete destruction of, apparently a crime scene? God be with you and your family and especially your son!
 
I agree with you that the dryer is the prime candidate for cause. The fire/incident report did NOT even mention it.

The Washington County Sheriff and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Fire Marshals cooperated to have the Track Hoe on scene.

The stranger's name is Jake Turner, volunteer fireman from Newberg (one town to the West), love interest of pot grow operation barn neighbor. He was eating string cheese, taking cell phone photographs of my burning home, circling the home and shouting per the fire report. I asked TVF&R for J.T.'s time line and was refused. We left the house about 8:15 AM with the dryer going and my son asleep. J.T. Was on the property taking pics and then firemen declared the home fire non-survivable at 10:00 AM. Everyone else mentioned in the fire report had a time line.

RXR is appropriate here for how the disabled are treated.

Update: BTW, cause specialist pinged me, in hospital due to back surgery, out of hospital Tuesday.

Has your son had any run-ins with law enforcement or volunteer fire officials? Is there anyone you know of that may have something personal against you and your family?

Have you or your family had any sort of contact with Jake Turner before? Was this Jake Turner the one that called 911, or was it one of your neighbors? What was he even doing around your home at the time? Also, just about every time we've had an arsonist running wild on the Eastern Shore, it was a volunteer fire fighter.

The treatment of your son angers me the most out of all this. I worked in the system a few years, and I saw firsthand how jails are used in lieu of actual treatment for disabled folks. It's disgusting.

My son has never been in any kind of trouble with anyone before. He irons out problems and doesn't create them. He's Buddist like. Jake Turner's love interest, Carol Bopp owner of pot barn property is long time antagonist, is said to hate me per Minnesota pot attorney Ted Buselmeier (who wanted me to testify against Ms. Bopp in a dispute to oust her from her property and said that he would testify in court that she hated me). Before Bopp moved onto the adjoining property she called me and wanted me to join her in a suit against a neighbor for putting a manufactured home on their property. I declined and I've been paying for it ever since.

I've never met Jake Turner. Learned his name via the official fire report. Carol Bopp, per my understanding, called in the fire when Turner reported back to her. I asked for his timeline and details of his activities at my house of the fire marshals and was refused. I issued a two page dispute of the facts of what was said and done at the scene, after my arrival, plus questions and the response was no but that my submission would be appended to the fire report. One of the fire Division Chiefs told such a whopper about my son but his timeline had it happen several hours after my son had been driven away in hand cuffs! My son's lawyer's cause expert claimed to have reviewed the report and only disagreed with it to the extent that it excluded the dryer. He did not even visit the scene or contact me.

The next cause expert, independent, getting out of the hospital today may have something to say at this late date.

Early on I wrote a letter to my state's senior Senator, Ron Wyden, asking for help/guidance. I've received no answer after two months. His brother has the same disability as my son.
 
It just all sounds fishy to me, and Turner's presence at the scene just screams arson. Why wouldn't he have called the F.D. when he was actually at the scene taking photos with his phone. It almost sounds like the fire chief is trying to "protect one of their own", but I'm willing to be Turner had something to do with the whole thing.

I find it hard to believe they even have a case at this point, since they pretty much destroyed any physical evidence. Also, I was under the impression that most police and fire reports were a matter of public knowledge. You might have to formally request them, but they still have to make them available.

Do you use any form of social media? Facebook, Twitter, Instagram..etc.? Senator Wyden is on Twitter and Instagram, maybe you can reach him there. If not, daily phone calls might be enough to annoy his people into putting you in touch with him.

I can find no evidence of my son's guilt. None. I have direct personal experience, after arriving at the scene, of false witnessing by multiple layers of officials. None breaking ranks. I spoke up at the scene and again as a victim/spectator in court and I am being punished for it. I cannot talk to my son about the fire nor can I be alone with him without a chaperone nor can he live with me.

I've had the fire report, the ancillary report and over 70 photographs for a couple weeks now. It was given to me upon my request by the responding fire dept. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue. It came via email.

All, I repeat ALL, fires are investigated for criminal content by fire marshals of the TVFR. It is in their mandate. Unfortunately, I can find no code of professional conduct requiring the use of truth, fact or moral responsibility.

I was warned not to write any more letters of that nature.
 
If it smells rotten, it probably is. Sounds like local corruption. You need help from outside this circle.
 
The disabled are overly represented in prisons/jails across the nation. Incarceration of the disabled is nationwide policy IMHO.

Consider this: I give my testimony of false statements by multiple layers of public officials who are trained professional observers and investigators. Who wins this contest? I've already been tagged a liar by the lead detective who claimed I was coaching my son to say that the dryer started the fire (I did not do this). The powers that be have sewn this case up pretty tightly.

If you house a disabled person and have a fire and they survive then they will be arrested. Your insurance carrier will balk.

7-30-2016 UPDATE: August 1st is court date to arrange trial date only. Actual trial date unknown. Hopefully in a few weeks, per son's attny.

Court date could be arranged sooner but set for early October as of now for disabled son.

No word from insurance carrier, good or bad.

Moving as soon as I can. Found an apartment. Just waiting on my application to pass inspection. Lived in my own home for the past 30 years. Not much to move. A few boxes.

Counseling for my wife and I helped. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.

I have received some pretty cool cutlery. Pieces beyond my imagination. Ones that I wanted but, well, never had. Thank you gentlemen. I never knew that I had guardian angels. I did not know that. Always figured that they were just in the movies...

Oh, and independent fire cause inspector turned out to have kept silent as to his investigation. With me, anyway. He never did speak with me about the cause. I had such high hopes.
 
Hi steve,I'm waiting on my local canadian tire for more of your fav mini bucks,then I'll send a little package your way.I would say a polygraph would clear your son of any wrong doing,then lay it on thick to the insurance with a good lawyer and make the bastids pay.
