Congrats on getting the cabin, Warrior. That's awesome. Definitely buy yourself a lotto ticket with all that newfound luck and awesomeness.

Thanks man. Gotta send some earnest money out tomorrow, and the guy is just gonna send the paperwork to me to sign, then probably next Thursday we'll go back down there to close the deal.

It is a beautiful place. Have you ever been to Breezy Point, the little park behind Mt. Rushmore? Crazy beautiful back there.

No. We didn't make it there. We went to Mt Rushmore in the evening and watched the ceremony thing. We did get up to a couple of the overlooks. I thought about taking another trip up there this summer but didn't make it happen. Maybe next year.

Sweet. Just drive back behind Mt. Rushmore, and Breezy Point is a picnic area, that has a sidewalk that goes back to view the hills. Looks like this.

The mountain on the right is Harney Peak, where the Lakota medicine man Black Elk had his vision. Anyone that's read "Black Elk Speaks" knows what I'm talking about:

Photos do the place no justice at all. The Needles is another cool place to check out at Custer.

I will definitely check it out next time I am there. The Needles is a great area. I've got several photos from there. I think I liked what we saw in South Dakota (Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Crazyhorse, Needles, Devil's Tower, Custer, etc.) more than Yellowstone. Don't get me wrong, Yellowstone is incredible, but there is just something about SD.

I should be ashamed of myself. Today instead of my BK9, I used by KA-BAR kukri machete for the first time. I think it actually out-chops the King when it comes to tree limbs.

If you can't walk for 30 seconds without sweating a ton, you might want to try hitting the treadmill, work that stamina up!

I have been working out for 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day 5-6 days a weeks for 11 months straight now.. Lost almost 90 lbs so far... Still sweat like a warthog in a sauna, lol. :D

Edit: I think you may have misread my post or I wrote it badly.. I walked out to my truck to grab some papers, was outside for maybe 30 seconds and started sweating up a storm..

I was just snarking... poorly. Or badly... I always get poorly and badly misconstrued.

I was snarking not wellly. <-- Pretty sure THAT is the proper way to say that sentence.

I hear ya. Myself, wife, mom, son, and step son went out west a few years back, then a few months later, the wife and I went back out to South Dakota, then on up to the North Dakota badlands. Then the next year, all of us went back out west again.

I think I should've went with the SOE micro wallet instead. The full size takes up too much real estate on my ass.

Is your milkshake not bringing all the boys to the yard anymore?

Meh. Plenty of suff can chop better than the BK9. It's how well the 9 does everything that makes it special.

Yes, I'd make Sir Mixalot turn up his nose. Also, I'm a dude so I think that takes points away.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Play to your strengths.

Good Lord Almighty! I think I need to spend more time back on the forums. I recognize like 3 people in here...haha. I disappeared for a few years, and BAM...almost 400 Beckerheads. This is good stuff, people...good stuff indeed!

I gotta go catch up on a few years worth of posts...keep up the shenanigans - and Snark!

Peace

I recognize your name! Not sure if our time lines overlapped or if I just read your posts while using the search tool. Either way, yes you do need to come round these parts more. Also welcome back. And most of the stuff is monotonous so you can just jump into the snark and we'll catch you up as it goes along.
