oh, yeah - we officially adopted black dog last weekend.
tonight we had all 3 dogs locked out of the kitchen while SWMBO was making Bierocks and he walked through the wood baby gate blocking the door like it wasn't even there.....

While I was watering the garden a few hours ago, Miss Angie suggested we might should have a fire in the pit since it was so nice out. "Go ahead, there's plenty kindling and wood," says I. So she did, and did a bang-up job of it. She didn't even cheat and use lighter fluid to get it going, just dry oak leaves and whatnot. Nicely built, not too hot or large, developed a nice bed of coals, burned down in time for us to come back inside, etc. :thumbup:

Little did I realize, she had never built a fire from the ground up before. She claims she only learned how by watching me. Guess who doesn't have to start/tend campfires anymore? ;)

I wouldn't say you're not winning. You're just winning the wrong sorts of things....of course, in the past two weeks, my sewer pipe backed up and leaked some "water" into my basement, the pool pump shit the bed, our VW got hungry and ate a $175 dollar tire, The lawn mower stopped 7/8ths of the way through and would not be resuscitated....and then last night my microwave freaked out - can't shut off the hood fan.....
It's not just you, Tom. There's plenty out there for everyone, unfortunately. Me? I learned how to remove and disassemble a pool pump. Next up? Small engine repair. Still sucks, tho.

I'm sure it is meant to be. Its not my pic, I just borrowed it because it would fit in the avatar space. By the way, I do not subcribe to any particular faith...they all have their merits which in turn makes them all suck.:D

Yeah, I know some have it worse. I was just quipping on someone else's coment with a pretty accurate representation of myself...in an effort to cheer them up.
 
I like the red better Dubz. I think it gives it a "Rocky Mountain" look. The shutters really add something. If you can score a couple of pallets you could make some board and batten shutters for nothing.
