do a little convexing of the spine - think partial shallow swedge -- and you'd be pretty close!
 
Yep, I'de be in. I carry Bark River 1st gen Hidden tang kephart everyday in my BOB for walking the dog. I also have A-2 version, slightly larger no swedge, but still simple and just fits my hand. I don't know if it should be a tweener version though. Not alot of difference from the 16. None of mine or the original appear to have any contouring just a nice big rounded handle which I like. How about a new series in between the size of the tweener and full size BK's. You would still have the black removable scales, maybe their brown now, or it's own color for this series, just be a bigger handle than the 16. You would have a Kephart, Nessmuk, somne kind of bowie, etc. Call it the wilderness series.

I would be in for one of these. Would make a nice pairing with the BK4, little job/ bigger job kind of thing. I've been carrying a Jarosz globetrotter in the pocket on the BK4 sheath as an alternative and it works okay but the globetrotter is a bit weird in hand for me, but a decent knife.
