Damn Ryan! That is amazing! I am back from Ashokan now and am going to get cracking on the blade. I am sure you will knock it out of the park the same way you did this one....Absolutely awesome!

I don't have anything really useful to add, but want to chime in again- REALLY well done. The execution is just perfect.

I really want to know how the saw performs. One of the issues with regular hori-horis is that- while the serrations are useful for roots, they aren't really a great saw

Hey Mike good to see you made it back safe. and thanks a lot! this one was fun..

Chirstof, I am worried about the saw. I think I can make it perform better on the next one. Jason will have to chime in and let us know how it does! Thanks for the Kind words.

How did I miss this one.... Very cool, Ryan. Specialty knives(especially working/utility) always appeal to me. Great build, bro.... going to Blade?

I totally forgot about this thread. I saw it today and I'm like 'Hey.... I made one of these for my wife recently'.. then I just read through the thread and there is Scott Roush saying he was going to make one for his wife! :-) I'm losing it.

Anyway... nice work and thanks again for the inspiration.

My sentiments EXACTLY!

How come the photos of it aren't in your A-Hori-Who? thread anymore? Do you still have copies of them so you could re-post them over there?

haha Flash from the past! Scott, I never saw your A-Hori-Who thread. Would love to see the photos if you are able to put them back up.

Rick I will be at Blade and will find my way to your table for sure! Thanks for the Kind words everyone

Yeah I wreaked havoc on past threads when I changed websites... But here it is. I'm on my ipad and am fumbling with how to post. A much different knife than you made. Mine is an integral socket....

I was researching for some good quality Hori Hori this morning and found this thread. Sorry to bump it up, but this one is truly a gem. Brilliant design! Belongs to the museum, not the garden :)

Great tool and amusing WIP!
I have one question: from what you didi explain and from the pics it looks like the tang holes are bigger than the pins, how do you manage to keep the scales from floating out of alignment while glueing?
