Horrible Monster

I heard fishers are trying to overthrow the govenment by putting one in the next presidential election....They must be stopped before it's too late...I got charged by a stray rottweiller while hiking once... scared the bejezzus out of mebut I don't hunt dogs now...part of why some...Maybe most of us spend time in the woods is becaus of this untamed aspect the fact that you have to be a beat quicker sometimes than you would in normal life...and sometimes when there you can aford to be a beat slower as well. I'm sure on if we started a thread we've all had some close scrapes in the woods that make great stories to tell when tipping back a pint...and in the end that's at least part of what keeps (me at least ) going back..

You got it. I love it. Another good tale to tell. It beats watching tv and talking about Survivor. I used to have to listen to that shit every week, where I used to work. When you take a stand for deer it is a little boring, I have had bear, moose, coyote, and now fishers, come near me. Pretty cool
and alot of fun.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll have to start packing a fisher for personal protection. Wonder what kind of Kydex sheath Normark can come up with. Hey Eric!

Thats what we call them in Canada as well.

A Fisher and a Pine Marten are two different animals. The Pine Marten is sometimes preyed upon by the fisher.

This is a Pine Marten photographed in Quebec:
