Horsewright Knives and Leather

Now that's a pizza cutter.

Hulk and Wanda. There must be a story behind the names. How long have you had them? Can you still tell a difference in flavor between them?

Normally over time a sourdough starter changes to the local yeast varieties, so Hulk and Wanda should be converging in flavor. Fifteen years ago I got some starter from my brother in Tennessee, and I use it to make sourdough wheat/rye bread. At first my bread tasted like his, but over the years it has changed to California sourdough, and now my bread tastes very different from my brother's, it is much stronger with a bit of a sourdough twang to it.
Horsewright, I'd love to have any info on the sourdough pizza you can provide. Recently diagnosed with awful gut disease that reacts better to sourdough. Thanks.

Dave, thanks for posting the links. Both are amazing reads. The photos of the kids wearing your products are great.

You need an active sourdough starter. This can be bought online or check with friends. Lots of folks have them and will give ya a starter. You have discard after feeding your starter and that can create a new starter or....... Google is your friend here and there are billions of videos on this. Her pizza recipe she got online and it is made with the discard. It's called Sourdough Discard Pizza Dough, so google that and ya'll get the recipe. I think one of the things that makes her pizza so good is that she uses"good" ingredients. For instance none of the cheese or the pepperoni have any preservatives or chemicals in them and she kinda goes with a sauce that way too. We try to eat pretty well from a health standpoint and that was part of her initial interest in sourdough as it is better for you. She does a white sauce pizza too with chicken. But same deal no processed stuff. She's got her first try at cheese/jalapeño sourdough bread just about ready to come out of the oven

Not only did she make dinner but she made me a pillow for where I sit in the living room. Saddle blanket print canvas on one side and leather on the other:

Whadya think?

Thanks David! I was looking in my already cut up scale box and I saw those two woolcarta pieces from your project. I thought bet those will fit on a Gordo. These were trimmed off of your Sonoran Belt Knife and saved for future use. Just the right size for a Gordo.
That Gordo caught my eye. Looks nice buddy 👍 🤠

That Gordo with the ironwood and ironwood spacer is Mrs Horsewright’s fav. She was gonna steal it. She mentioned that several times.
Doesn't need to steal it. Mrs Horsewright
Just needs to invoke the ancient law "the wifes right". The modern interpretation Is " cause I can"😆😆 gets applied in our household often 😉
