Thought ya guys might like a couple of photos sent to me by a customer:

This is a roughout Horizontal sheath with out a belt loop.

This is a pair of Branded jeans and they have that knife pocket. A lot of guys in the western world are wearing these jeans. I haven't tried a pair yet.

I was also sent some knives recently to make new sheaths for. The roughout pancake sheath with Mestano belongs to a local rancher/horse trainer. The California Coyote in the old style Horizontal sheath belongs to a cowboy in AZ.

An unmarked knife. In cowboy vernacular this style of knife is referred to as a "Nutter."

Fine work sir!!👌
Thanks!

Just curious, even if you carry your own knives, do you carry a Buck 110 or 112? Thanks.
No sir I don’t. Had a 110 in the late 70s, a present from my parents. Carried it all the time even in college. Where I grew up on the Central Coast of California it was almost a badge, of what I’m not sure, but every guy had one on in that black leather belt sheath that came with them. Mine is on the bottom of the Pacific. Was helping a buddy check his crab traps one time. One came up all snagged in kelp etc. He says, “Let me see your knife real quick.” And you know the rest of the story. We could see it glinting down there on the bottom. I did get a smaller knife from Buck a little bit later, I think it was called The Prince. Never really could put an edge on that one.

Great shot David!

Horsewright Horsewright Dave, that boot top bag y’all made is downright cool.
Thank you! Yeah Mrs Horsewright has been hitting it out of the park lately with some bags. She's made two purses from boot tops and a Range Bag prototype which she really likes. The first purse she made she really only had one boot top to work with so she used it as the exterior pocket on this purse:

This was made from an old pair of boots. But on closer inspection they weren't a pair so she just used one. On this second purse she did have a distinct pair. Course needed a HOrsewright knife to cut through the many layers of a boot.

This Cowboy Toothpick is a shop knife I keep around for whatever. It cut through this very easily. Interestingly our specialized leather knives were kind of struggling.

So she took the shafts from this pair of boots and made this purse:

She added the red stitching to tie in the bottom to the boot top:

A lot of thought went into this deal to get it to come out right, but it really did.

As did her Range Bag! Her thought was to make a smaller one than the typical deal that so many folks carry around. The idea was just going to the range to work with one or two guns not an arsenal. This is what she came up with. Basically a scaled down version of her duffel bag but with interior pockets for range stuff.

My missus loves the bag you sent us a few weeks back, Dave. It's perfect for her, and is very practical. (The accompanying wallet for important cards is a great touch as well.)

If any of you are considering one, rest assured they are great quality and you won't be disappointed.
