I get my strops from JRE Industries. I use a strop bat or a regular strop at home. The regular strop is great for the field.

Crazy milled machine looking grooves and cut outs.
Thick (but not crazy thick) blades will all those grooves and cutouts....
Never mind the smooth, meltdown, normal, no groove blades...
