Brian, that FNP is huge, I like it a lot.

Mike, unless you are a politician you can't concealed carry in Illinois so carry size was not an issue. BTW, a majority of the people support CCW and the even the Illinois State Police endorses it. I narrowed my choices between a Glock 34, Glock 20/29, or the FNP 45 Tactical. I still plan on getting a a 10mm Glock because it seems like the perfect all around handgun (but expensive to shoot) and some flavor of 9mm Glock. The FNP fits my hands well and it comes with 4 different back straps to adjust it further. The holster is the tough thing to find right now for a newer gun with a threaded barrel and a RMR, but I can't concealed carry so I'm not in a hurry. I'm thinking about getting a Raven Concealment System setup because they will make a custom holster for it (3+ month wait time). When I get to shoot it I will let you know how it shoots.

My name is Brian and I have a problem.:D

Just bought a Surefire X400.:o The only reason I went with the laser is for dry fire trigger control practice.

Hi Brian!.....Lol

Large guns and concealed carry, no problem, just ask Dirty Harry.

As far as the Surefire goes..well, at least you didn't buy it in August as it would have blown your light budget completely.

Brian let me just say a couple of things on concealed carry. I carry a full size glock 22 and Springfield 1911 and with a quality inside the pants holster no one ever knows I am carrying even when wearing jean shorts.

Mike

Mike, I just hope they allow concealed carry soon. The governor just got the support/money of an anti gun group and he already announced new anti gun statements.

you better bring that thing when you come for a class brian

ps i might have a suppressor that will work on that bad boy ;)

What did you get in .45 Brian?

Have you considered rolling your own?

I haven't bought factory ammo in years. First it was single stage then progressive then casting my own boolits. I have two single stage press / Dillon 650 / Dillon Square Deal.

Now I'm looking into Forster Tri-Ax press to load precision stuff.

Pauli, they are 230 gr FMJs. They are marked target/range load on the box. I hope they work well in the FNP or I'm going to be doing lots and lots of failure to feed/failure to extract drills.:D

What press would you recommend for .45?

BTW, I got to handle a Glock 19 Gen 4 today.:D

I like the gen 4 grip. It's the first Glock that really fits my hands.

Nice 45 Brian and pretty good deal on the ammo too. They should work fine - they do in my 1911's

All the reports about how bat AK's are in the accuracy dept., and today my 74 was shooting little pinpoint groups at 50 yds. with the red dot.

Let's roll ;):D:thumbup:

Everybody has their favorite press color - mine is blue :D

Dillon 550 will serve you well - you can load pistol and rifle ammo.

Check out Brian Enos for all the Dillon info....

True story. I took my ak47 and ak74 to the range a couple weeks ago and shot for groups at 50 and 100 yrds. Both grouped the same as my AR15. Run tell that homeboy! :)

That ammo should be fine. If it hiccups on anything, it would be hollow points, but I imagine it'll run those fine as well.
