Is the FUG the one that has the pocket for a tape switch and room to store a couple of C123s? Or is that the TD? I'll have to check. I've looked at so many the past couple of days that I don't know if I'm keeping them straight.

Both - but the FUG gives you the option to run the Choade or the Long grip. The Fug uses tape to hold the switch, where the TD is integrated.

FUG will run you appx $100 where the TD QD will run you <$80

If you don't need the QD, you can find the TD's for $60 or so, or even less for used on AR15.com as the tacti's are upgrading to the latest and greatest

Go with the QD if you go TD, as the cable ties on the non-QD are a PIA

I also like the smallest fug - what I didn't like about the TD was how it attached and removed - especially when it was needed to slide it down the rail - my fingers were purple holding those small tabs down....lol

Yup. I don't have a Rifle case big enough to hold my Carbine, with the Vertical grip on the gun. TD is hard to slide off, so yes a QD FUG is so nice. ;)

Whats up men, I haven't been around due to year end at the office and family holiday activities.

I got a nice surprise today in the mail in the form of a light pouch for my 6P.
I didn't even know I had won one!! ....which added to the surprise factor. This thing is built like a tank, very robust and not skimpy on the velcro.

On another note, my mother is staying with us and has decided the 6P with the Malkoff drop in is as much an intruder deterrent as a loaded gun next to her bed.

I will be seeking out another 6P and Malkoff drop in as a result.

Congrats on the pouch Pepper, been wondering where you've been. :)

Sorry to hear about the loss of the 6P, Mom knows best. You'll find another. :D

Thanks trog, so true about mom.
I actually ordered another Malkoff today. Now I need a 6P to ''drop'' it into, which will come from batt junction as soon as I order it.

LOL - Same here. The newer QD version is much better, probably not as good as the LaRue though

I use the QD stubby on my entry rifle. It holds 2 extra batteries which is nice. Mounts rock solid and is just the right size.

I need one for my Scout but I'm not sure I need to make it any more front heavy, it will almost give you a hernia now,
