Im looking at getting a lever action shotgun. Anybody have any experience with them? I believe the best out there right now is the Chiappa 1887. It's sold here in the states as Charles Daly. I know IAC and Norinco both made repros as well. They are about half the cost of the charles daly but I have no experience with either of them.

Maybe I need a really nice flashlight, though I have a SureFire and a few Streamlights. They're kind of bulky though.

I used to only wear cheap sunglasses, but I'd break the hell out of them. Finally bought an expensive pair, and I'm still wearing them because I take better care.

I'm rough on cheap flashlights (Home Despot, Sam's Club), so maybe I need a quality EDC light.

You do. I learned that lesson back in the 80s, while doing serious caving in Colorado and New Mexico.

When you need a light ... you really need a light. Save up, research, go with the best.

DD ar's are nice, but a little pricey and that rail they put on em is butt ugly. building is cheaper and you can set it up the way you want. pick up a LMT or bravo company upper and a good bolt carrier group and put it on whichever lower that you like the roll mark on. you should be able to put one together with a DD rail for under $1000

Rlarge, thanks for all the input. It looks like I know where to order mine. Does it come with a free picture of Momma with every order?:thumbup:

Let me do more research on the uppers you recommend and I'll PM you during the week. Thanks again.

:rolleyes:Those are very nice fish tacos, Guyon.

I sometimes get the impression you're living the good life over there in TN.:)

They came out tasty. On the flour tortilla, I put:

sour cream
layer of fried white bass (cut up chunks)
some guacamole
a homemade pico variation (tomatillos, tomatoes, cilantro, corn, onion, lime)
a little shredded cheddar
cilantro garnish
squeeze of lime juice just before eating

They were so good last night I had 'em for breakfast again this morning.

Ask momma when she wants to start trading recipes over on the knife fag board. :p

Oh, yes. Usually better the second day. I think that some extra marinating goes on ... as it does with chili and a good beef stew.

One can live the good life in Woodbridge as well, it's just trickier.:p

Much trickier.

Government is far more intrusive.

Quite a few more folks are around to bump into.

And that daily commute!!:eek: Why, it has nearly deadened my soul.:(

I just got off the phone with a good friend, we served together for 4 years, and now he is in Officer school. Sounds like nothing but drinking and easy Officer girls.....................good times............good times.....
