Those Fenixes aren't too expensive.

Prices on AR's are dropping back closer to Pro-O levels - Have you checked out the 6920 or 6721 Colt?
There was a really good canoe thread in W&S recently.
chickenplucker, have a look!

Been following it.
I bumped it for you. Maybe some more canoe folks will chime in.
Thanks man, when are you floating the Etowah?
Next weekend. Going to do about a 20 mile overnighter. Take it slow and fish along the way.
Maybe I need a really nice flashlight, though I have a SureFire and a few Streamlights. They're kind of bulky though.
I used to only wear cheap sunglasses, but I'd break the hell out of them. Finally bought an expensive pair, and I'm still wearing them because I take better care.
I'm rough on cheap flashlights (Home Despot, Sam's Club), so maybe I need a quality EDC light.
(fingers in ears) LALALALALALALALA
Is it flat or does it have a few drops? Sounds like a nice trip.
There look to be some small rapids and a number of old Indian fish traps (wiers, I think they're called). They'd line up rocks into V-shaped funnels all the way across the river, and the fish would have no choice but come out the funnel end. You can see several sets of them along the route with an aerial close-up.
Does anyone use a DPMS AR? How come they are so much less exspensive?
