Grim had a good time out in the woods all week long

Opinel 12 was very useful again, we had sun but everything was soaking wet from rain on the days/weeks before

Becker BK-16 did the knife tasks today

Swedish torch setup in my Firebox Nano

Enjoying the view, waiting for my water to boil

Cut some Pomegranate with my Victorinox for desert already

Bauernbrot with cheese

And coffee is ready too

And our hike continued with a full stomach

Yesterday I went out with Grim on this beautiful cold and foggy winter morning.
A warm cup of coffee made things just perfect

Grim had a blast with ice and little patches of snow

BK-16 and Firebox Nano in my daypack

Brought some dry sticks of firewood from home so I had flames in no time.

And we have a nice hot cup of coffee

Same gear as last saturday
On this foggy Wednesday afternoon I went out for a coffee in the woods.
BK-16 helped filling my Firebox Nano with small pieces of wood and curls to get the fire going in no time.

Waiting for my water to boil. The wide surface of the Trangia kettle makes for a quick boil.

And we have a nice hot cup of coffee

Still grey and foggy days here.
time to bring the Kelly Kettle and my BK-`6 for a nice outdoors coffee.

Shavings and curls to get the fire going with my ferrorod.

First flames are always so sweet

Never have to wait long for the water to boil with the Kelly Kettle

Her we go, steam blowing through the whistle loud

Coffee is ready, now it's time to enjoy the mini fire and nice surroundings.

Great day for an outdoors lunch today
packed my tarp because rain and hail was coming and going with sunny periods in between.
BK-16 in its new Azwelke.com sheath, firekit, bread, some eggs, chorizo sausages in my pack. Forgot to pack a stove so had to improvise my cooking a bit.

Overview of my site

Spit some stick into tiny sticks and curls to get the fire going

2 thicker greenwood sticks to put my mug or frying pan on with a small fire between the sticks should do the trick without a stove

And made a forked skewer to put my sausages on

Sun came out while I waited for my water to boil and my sausages

Nice scenery

Sausages look like they're nearly there, water seems to take forever this way

Set my mug in the coals and put the frying pan over the fire to get my eggs done

Tasty lunch and great fun

I know quite a few persons who'd pack up n go home.dejected.............There are a lot of HELPLESS people out there..........
