How about a Buck Spitfire in S90V?

Yes please, on a Vantage, but im a fan of the smalls for EDCs. Maybe one with a super steel and carbon fiber scales

I would LOVE to do a Vantage. Problem is, the centering of the blade on the Vantage is extremely hit and miss. If I've learned one thing in this business it's that you fellas and ladies LOVE your blade centering. If no one cared, we'd have a Vantage out already!
 
I wanted everyone to know, I've got the Hornet in hand, and of the 3 I've tested, there has been no blade play at all. Buck told me today that they put in a stronger spring to improve the blade play and boy did they ever! Eureka!

Can this be retrofit for old Spitfire/Slimlines?

Thanks for pushing Buck on this issue. It's a really decent little knife with lots going for it. But that blade play has been bad.

I'm surprised that a spring is enough, actually. On all 3 Slimlines I've owned, you can easily see the pivot heads moving inside of the frame indents. I have to think there's been a tolerance issue at the pivots too. But whatever. Let's hope it's fixed!

Cool! I wonder if you where to ask BUCK about blade centering on the Vantage if they would be willing to step up QC on it .I know at the moment you aren't concerned about the Vantage but maybe in the future? I do know they are capable of making them correctly as I have several that are centered perfectly. My daughter ordered 2 Hornets the other day and I will be looking forward to the blade play issues taken care of . Thanks Steaven
 
This stuff is pissing me off. My life was just fine before I knew this existed. Now I have to have one. Order placed.

Thing is, I am constantly thinking about the Vantage. It's a very cool platform. I'm going to see what I can discover with Buck. Stay tuned!
 
^if ya have pull see if theyll make a 3.75" to 4" blade vantage version an xl. perfect knife if a bit bigger.

course i might be the only one who wants a bigger blade version?
 
Small Vantage with a Ti deep carry clip, CF or some other exotic scale and same kinda blade as the Hornet.

And just treated myself ordered both versions of the spitfire as xmas gift for myself. Now if i can get someone to buy me your Marksman for Xmas
 
2 days in my pocket, I love this knife. It's awesome, no blade play at all, the perfect snap when opening or closing and razor sharp. I'm glad I grabbed one!

I would, G10, aluminum, or titanium, as long as it's different color as the two I already have (OD green & black)
 
Received mine 2 days ago, ordered both a hornet and an extreme. Yes the hornet has blade play. Very nice knives
 
Received the Hornet today from my daughter for Christmas. The knife is a knock out, the blade is AWSOME, sharp and very cool. But there is that tiny bit of up and down play. Merry Christmas 🎄 to all !

I would if it was the right shape. Even 3.5", no holes and a spear, drop or trailing point. DM
