How about a "Show your GEC model 73's"

Great looking knives Mark! There's nothing I like more than a good patina:D I like seeing knives that actually get used!!
Happy birthday again:D hope you had a great day🎉🎉😎

No sir, it's from 2009. The scales are smooth white bone, and I'm sorry Ryan, but I can't remember what the name of the shield is. I think I remember it being called a bomber shield but I could be wrong. The liner lock is tighter than the others I have but probably because it hasn't been worked as much. I rarely get this one out.

I wish they would do another run of this in the all steel version. Maybe one day they will.

Thanks Brett. I didn't think it was from the current run but I just don't remember all the variations made by GEC and when they were made. No matter, that's a nice looking knife.

This thread needs to be brought back I think!!!
The #73 is my all time favorite from GEC, a great classic pattern executed perfectly from the little factory in Titusville Pa.

This was my first #73 and my second GEC.

The carved Pumpkin bone has been a beautiful material to watch age!

I got this one off the exchange.
It was loved as you can tell from the patina, I'm happy to have it in my stable now.

This one is my absolute favorite.

The miles it's rode with me make it even more special.

This is the same photo I posted when I received the 73. It's a little large for when I go into NYC, but it has what I consider to be the best overall group of characteristics in any knife I've ever owned. Oh, and the Osage Orange is great.

I've had quite a few #73s over the last nine years, but this one is undoubtedly the nicest.
1 of only 5 made in box elder burl, 2007 manufacture.
