How about a "Show your GEC model 73's"

Hey Brett, I for one am glad you revived this thread. I just received my first #73 (early Fathers' Day gift from #1 son) and have fallen in love with the pattern. I posted these pics in another thread on the 73 but what the heck, I am so pleased with this knife I'm posting them again :D

Ken - That is a beauty right there! Your son did well

Cannot tell you how many times I have tried to 'fold' this beauty :grumpy:

Brett - Ya wanna tell us about the knife pictured? Cover material, etc.. That isn't one from the last run is it?

No sir, it's from 2009. The scales are smooth white bone, and I'm sorry Ryan, but I can't remember what the name of the shield is. I think I remember it being called a bomber shield but I could be wrong. The liner lock is tighter than the others I have but probably because it hasn't been worked as much. I rarely get this one out.

I wish they would do another run of this in the all steel version. Maybe one day they will.

Brett, I've seen that one called a corset shield, probably other names as well. Looks like a lady's swimsuit to me.

Jeff, I appreciate that! I actually forgot that you answered the same question a couple pages back. :)

Great #73 Mark, but I really like the lil caplifter beside it, I assume a rehandle? Like the bolsters on it also brother. Hope you had a good birthday;)
