How annoying is it not to have a knife on you?

Forgot when getting dressed this morning to put a knife in any pocket. I usually carry something everyday, sometimes two. It was really annoying. Felt undressed all day.

So how annoying do you find it, forgetting to carry any knife all day?

It has not happened in a long time but I feel naked without. Always have a spare in kit in truck though.

Years ago I arrived at work (shipping dock) and discovered that I didn't have me regular work folder on me. At the time it was the only knife I carried at work. I felt an instant of panic and dread thinking I might have lost it.

I called home and asked my girlfriend to see if the knife was still sitting on the shelf where I always put it during the night. I was awash in relief when she said it was there.

On my lunch break I rode home ten miles just to get it (20 miles round trip). I didn't actually need it, I could have gotten by with one of the company issue box cutters, but it just bugged me not having a knife on me.

Yup. HATE HATE HATE that feeling.

I realized this morning after I had left the house that in my mad rush, i had forgotten to grab a knife. I was about to reach into the glove box to grab one of my spares, but realized I was in a rental car because me car is in the shop, so I didn't even have a spare.
I mean, it's not like i was going to have a panic attack or anything over not having a knife. But I did feel a bit naked.

I just feel.. alone.. and scared.. [emoji26]

I never leave the house without a knife, because I can't!

I hate it , I went to a Presidential Museum last week and I had to leave them all in the car. I felt naked off and on the whole visit.

Victorinox Secretary in the wallet. Never without a knife again.

I am so freaked out about this and not being able to have a knife on me..I have to travel to London England where a knife is outlawed. Yes ,even a non locking blade under 3". If you are found with a "so called" UK approved knife it is still up to each individual court to determine.

I have been talking to folks at the UK knife forum and it is really sad. I guess I will take the risk and carry a small traditional folder anyway. But I personally know people who have been arrested for that over there and they are paying the courts after 3-4 court hearings. And for one personal friend of mine that was for a carpenters knife in their tool box. Their law and English rule is really different from our system.

Most screwed up country ever.

The last time I didn't carry a knife was when I had jury duty. I was anticipating on getting the hell outta there, so not having a knife didn't really cross my mind.

Also, I don't carry knives to concerts. But why would I worry about carrying a knife when I'm too busy jamming out:D

Dude... Life is too short to put that much stress into an inanimate object. Use your keys to cut stuff for a few days, I promise you'll still be alive after the "misery":D

I find it VERY annoying. Not a fan of any of my freedoms being restricted, infringed or any further defined in order to control/restrict/eventually eliminate.

I hate not having a knife on me. I've carried a knife since I was 6-8 yrs old! Weird feeling not having one! I keep a spare knife in my truck just in case I forget. Always have at least one folder, fixed blade, and multi tool in my truck. I really hate going places where you can't carry a knife, but you gotta do it sometimes!

I haven't been without a knife since I went to great America last year, and that's just another reason not to be into amusement parks. I feel like I'm missing an arm or leg when I don't have a knife and my leatherman.
My neck knife never comes off, so I can never to forget a knife ( not that I ever forget any four of my edc's )

Never forget one daily, but.......

When i travel to knife unfriendly states, cities, countries etc. It drives me crazy needing one to open something cut something etc and i reach towards my pocket auto pilot style and realize i dont have one.

Since we were not checking luggage on out flight I decided to take a vacation without my knife, as kind of a test to see how I would react. It was tough seeing all those opportunities to use it. But luckily I survived,

Very annoying not to have a knife. I constantly check my trousers pocket for my knife. I also have a Swiss army Knife on my belt in a nylon sheath. Not to mention the Victorinox Classic in my vest pocket.;)

Twice this last week I forgot my Edc , a Rat 1. Kind of felt like I forgot to put my underwear on.
This morning I nicked my finger with it , and feel a lot better now.:)

When I reach into my pocket and don't feel a knife clipped into the side, I instinctively start checking all my pockets even when I know for sure I put it down somewhere. I normally don't forget one for the day, but do leave it laying if I'm working with others in case they need it. It's been the S&W Cuttin Horse. I love it but it was cheap so I'm not afraid to let people use it. It helps that the people around me tend to use knives properly and use other tools when appropriate. Not everyone can be that fortunate though!

I was 2 miles away once when I realized I didn't have mine.
Turned right around to get it.
I cannot be without one.
