Mo - as a matter of fact, Will called me last night. Said the Maxxes are still pretty much on schedule for a March release. You're not alone in waiting for 'em :D

Yeah Mo,

Middle to end of March like I told ya. Don't get your panties in a wad. :D

I'm doing the Pee-Pee dance around the room waiting. I was at knifecenter the other day harrassing them for info, but they didn't know the release day.

My source says a small delay in getting them, maybe adding a week or so. They were planning on having them in route to dealers by now I understand, but that hasn't happened yet has it?

USAFSP, "a pee pee dance around the waiting room" ?? LOL

All I can say is your anticipation is REALLY bad. I want one too
but not as bad as you. You can take my place in the front of the
line, mate. LOL

This one totally snuck up on me! I didn't know they were going to do a Mad Max by camillus. That sounds like a real winner! Will they be offering the smaller max as well? I had one of the large Maxs',And although it's easy to conceal, It makes everyone around you do a double take when you pull that big sucker out!I would still like to have another one though. Especially at Camillus's price.I would love to see the smaller one being produced too.

I agree Seaplane.., scaling one down a few notches would be perfect for me. I love the big guy.., but it's a little large for me to carry regularly...

And here I am hoping they'll come out with a 7 in. Cuda Maxx! :D :D

Hey, I have a 5.5 in. dagger blade Maxx from Darrel; you should see the looks I get when that sucker clangs open!

Guys,
We are only planning to make 1 model of the CUDA MAXX 5.5[well, ok 2 models-plain and partially serrated]. This is Darrel's original MADD MAXX, the 5.5" bladed bowie. Its what the 'MAXX was concieved as, a folding coffin handled bowie. If sales warrant it, we may look at other models. I would imagine that we would consider other blade styles before we thought about making smaller, or larger, sizes. We have already looked at Darrel's dagger version, and IF we were to do that one, there would be a price increase, because that blade would be ALOT harder to grind in production.

But to make this clear, we have NO plans for any other models at this time. If we sell enough of this model, we might be able to make other styles.

I have the first final production CUDA MAXX 5.5 to leave the factory here in my pocket. I took the knife out for the weekend to carry it and beat it around so as to give my final approval. Yeah, its bad to the bone....its strong, sharp, smooooooth, well finished, very BLUE, and BIG. We are waiting for some final packaging componets to come in, and we should begin shipping the "very soon" .....probally next week. Somebody has my MAVICA, but I'll get it back thursday, and I'll put a couple of new pics up. The final anodizing turned out BETTER than the early proto's. VERY BLUE. VERY KEWL.

Thanks for the interest and the patience!

Mo,

There, now you know as much as anyone else does. Start savin your lunch money, the margin call is coming soon. :D
